because it actually less expensive to build here with parts imported from their respective countries, and then ship them back to their respective country, BMW, Toyota, Nissan and others also have factories inside the USA. That and because none of them are unionized.

You can sometimes find those at the "public auctions" offered by Manheim. Check out www.manheim.com for details. Go to the Public Auctions tab under the "Buy" tab. If they don't have anything, you can find a dealer who will go to the dealer-only auctions for you and buy the car at wholesale, then sell it to you at their cost plus a small finder's fee. The dealer-only auctions have a FAR greater selection (and usually cheaper prices) than the public auctions. you can usually save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars doing this. Search the internet for dealers who will do this for you, or visit my dealerships site at www.carscoutauto.com and I can hook you up.

Active duty military and Alabama car registration?

My husband is active duty army in GA and we need to renew our car registration in Alabama. I looked at the DMV website and there wasn't much information, it said something about $23, but I think that's just to obtain a title? We've been told by several people we get a break on the cost of renewing registration since he is in the army but I can't find much about it anywhere and the DMV there won't tell me anything since I'm not on the registration, just him. If I understand your question correctly, your husband is stationed in Georgia and you're residents of Alabama. Call your county's tag office http://www.revenue.alabama.gov/motorvehicle/statemap.html and let them know that you are an Alabama resident in the military and need your sticker mailed to your Georgia address. They should tell you how much to renew. Once they get the check, they can send you your sticker.

a notorized bill of sale with yours and new owners signature, the license registration paper, photo copy of your driver license and a statement Notorized that states about the Alabama law 1975 and older vehicles do not have to be titled vehicles. With all of this info... new owner can take the info to the Louisiana DMV office in his parish, they will issue his a title in new owners name, new owner will have to pay taxes and all fees TT&L during this time. Everything will be legal and no problems will arise.

Exactly the same as a car from California but it depends on the weight of the car. About $75 for a title, $20-$45 for a tag. No inspections required.
