How can a 13 year old get money? Question: I was thinking how can i get money my parents dont give me an allowance and i cant walk dogs, though i have shelter near my house in south gate. i cant wash car or do all those stuff. Answer: So I tried googling a bunch of things which you can do for yourself and see what you like, but my personal advice is to sell candy at school. I know it sounds dumb, but when I was in middle school I know a TON of kids bought those big boxes of candy from costco, like those snickers/reeses/milkyway bars which are let's say $8 for 20 bars and the kids would sell them at school for $1. That right there is a $12 profit! While these numbers aren't exact you get the idea, and teens looove candy. Kinda just get creative :) Best of luck. |

Question: I live in the LA area and im trying to raise up money for a car when I turn sixteen is there any jobs in the south gate lynwood or any one who will offer me a job around there. Answer: You should really try either here: http://wannamakemoney.page.tl Or you should try here: http://appearingcash.blogspot.com I recommend the first site, its a lot better than the second. They’re always having monthly contests (I won last month!) and it is really resourceful. I made $600 in February, and $1,100 last month and I am 13. Good luck!!!!!! |

Why are white people scared of South central Los angeles.? Question: My friend had a white friend he told me to pick him up from his home in Newport, California (Note: In Orange county) So then we drove back to Los angeles and then he saw the sign that says "Now Entering South gate" then he was like what are we doing here? He said it was violent and that we would end up dead. Then I just gave him a WTF face. so then he told me to drop him off at a bus stop I said why? Then he wouldn't tell me then I was about to drive off after i dropped him then he came back to the car and said "Not safe to stay at the bus stop" Then I figured out HE WAS SCARED. He obviously watching TV to much. He was acting like it was a war zone. To be honest every time I hear white people talking about South central they always potray it as Violent place. They act like a Drug deal occurs within every 5 seconds here. I live In Inglewood which isn't exactly in South central its in Southwest. Near the Los angeles International airport. Why are all white people scared of South central? I've never seen a black person nor a Mexican scared about the area only white people hope this doesn't offend anyone. @john There are always crimes in Los angeles EVERYWHERE from Compton to hollywood hills. @ El ramierz it is in South central Near Baldwin hills and crenshaw etc. @ Colnel killroy South central is like 50% Black and 50% mexican. Tho There are some places in North part of South central that got white people. Jefferson park EG South gate is in Southeast? What?? I'll go check. @the white man marches on, Flint,Michigan and Saint luis, Missouri is the most dangerous cities in america and saint luis is mostly white and Flint is something like 100% white. So much for most "Most Dangerous areas are minority filled" Answer: Hmmm, maybe if you checked crime statistics you would know why EDIT ~ Yes there are crimes everywhere in Los Angeles, that's one reason I moved to another state. But crime is a lot higher in South Central than, say, Sherman Oaks or the Hollywood hills. |

I will be driving my car from Petaluma south to San Jose to attend a UOP graduation ceremony. The route? Question: I will be driving my car from Petaluma south to San Jose to attend a UOP graduation ceremony. The route going along the East Bay and crossing the Carquinez Bridge is 87 miles long. The toll on the Carquinez Bridge is $4, in the north bound direction only. The distance going through San Francisco and crossing the Golden Gate Bridge is 88 miles and the toll is $6, in the south bound direction only. The current price of gas is $3.29 and my car gets 30 mpg (the missing variable I told you about!). I must drive to San Jose, and then back home. What route should I take and how much will it cost me? using this calculations Call T the toll amounts for a one-way trip, C the cost per gallon of gas, and D the one-way distance Cost = 2(T + CD/M) The 2 reflects that you have to go there and back. M is the missing factor. CD/M needs to end up in monetary terms. C is the price of gas, which I will assume is given in $/gallon D is in miles. To make this work M must be in miles/gallon. So M is your fuel efficiency. Answer: The answer seems obvious to me so I may have missed some complexity in the problem. Since there seem to be only two choices for routes south and two choices for routes back north it would seem there are only 4 possible round trips. It appears that among the choices the toll is only charged on one of the routes south. Similarly the toll seems to be charged on one of the routes north. The difference in the length of the routes seem to be with in one mile of each other. The south bound route should be going along the East Bay and crossing the Carquinez Bridge is 87 miles long. No toll will be charged as the toll on the Carquinez Bridge is $4, in the north bound direction only. The north bound route should be through San Francisco crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and is 88 miles. Again no toll will be charged as the toll is $6, in the south bound direction only. This will mean a total of 175 miles traveled and no toll. At thirty miles per gallon this trip will take 5.5 gallons of gasoline. At $3.29 per gallon 5.5 gallons will cost 16.45+1.65=$18.10 |

were is a good place to go on a date in LA? Question: I live in South Gate CA. im a jr in high school. were both 17. not a lot of money, i have a car btw. Answer: This depends on what you like--outdoors, a movie, shopping. Redondo Beach Pier is always a nice destination. You have a range of dining choices. Santa Monica is pretty romantic, and Hermosa Beach Pier is a very nice, cozy destination (mention to Chef Dion at Paradise Sushi that his high school band buddy "Kevin" said this was voted the "Best Sushi in Los Angeles," and he might be inclined to give you a discount!" The canals at Venice beach provides a nice walk, and you could picnic at the beach. If you like to drive, take the 10 freeway West to its end in Santa Monica, and continue up Pacific Coast Highway toward Malibu. You could then take Sunset Avenue through the Santa Monica Mountains. There is a national or state park there. That continues through Hollywood, where there's the Chinese Mann Theater, and Roscoe's Chicken is an affordable joint, which stars frequent. Closer to home is Pine Avenue in Long Beach, or Cerritos Mall. Personally, I like Long Beach Towne Center. If you're really adventurous, check out Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest. There is a hike there leading to a waterfall.Just make sure you know where you going, and what weather and road conditions are like. Right off Highway 2 going towards La Canada Flintridge, there is a Mexican restaurant called "Ernie's--good, affordable food. Good luck! |

Can gated community close off all public access exits from disabled tenant? Question: I live in a gated housing developement with north (pedestrian), and south (vehicles and pedestrian) entrances/exits. Because of the crime increase in this area, the HOA (home owners association) has decided to close off the northern exit, which is closer to my apartment, and easier access to a bus stop. I do not own a car, nor can I walk down to the southern exit to catch the bus, because of health issues. What legal recourses do I have, if any? Answer: I would call the HOA and tell them they need to fix the problem immediately or you will do what cyn has told you too. |
