I'm going to Santa Rosa to buy a car...I live in Orinda...Eastbay..what options do I have of public transportation to getting to Santa Rosa...I'm looking at taking Bart somewhere (SF/Richmond? either one) then getting on some sort of transportation to Santa Rosa. PLEASE help is appreciated...thanks

Answer:
You have 2 options starting from Orinda. First, you can take BART into San Francisco then take a Golden Gate Transit bus #72 or 80 to Santa Rosa. Another option would be to take an AC Transit bus #74 from Orinda to Richmond then a Golden Gate Transit bus #40 or 42 to San Rafael then take the Golden Gate Transit #80 north to Santa Rosa. Good luck!

Answer:
You have got to see the Charles Schulz Museum! It's in Santa Rosa. Really a special place. They even recreated Charles Schulz's studio where he drew Peanuts. There is also a bronze statue of Charlie Brown in the city of Santa Rosa (not part of the museum). If you don't go the museum, all I can say is "Good Grief!" haha

Opinions on Santa Rosa, CA?
Question:
My boyfriend and I are considering moving to Santa Rosa. We have a few questions and would like personal experience from people who live there. How is the crime rate? I know all cities will have there own problems, but we'd like to live somewhere where we don't have to worry about leaving a nice car unattended or walk the street alone. Are they bad areas we should be aware of? How many job opportunities for college students? Is the area pet friendly? Any other input is appreciated. Please be honest yet non biased. Thanks.
