Best way to get from San Diego International Airport to Oceanside?
Question:
Whats the best and cheapest way to get from the San Diego International Airport to Oceanside California? Other than renting a car.

Answer:
Go with Joe C's answer. I've done that. It's very simple and quite relaxing. You grab the bus right on the curb outside the terminal and once you get on the Coaster it's a nice relaxing ride to the end of the line. Sit up top on the left (west) side of the train to get great ocean and beach views.

anyone know of paintballparks in oceanside california?
Question:
at least 7 miles close. can u enter camppendelton without car?

Answer:
Checkout warpig.com. I'm not sure where Oceanside is but they have a ton of field listings for CA.

Is Oceanside, California a likely good match for me?
Question:
I am a healthy, friendly, attractive, 53 year old single (widowed) woman who misses the beaches of my early childhood. I am not a partyer, I would like to live near the beach, just to walk and see it's beauty, make a small living by teaching piano and guitar to about 25-30 middle class students, worship in a community church, and volunteer where needed. Can one person live well enough there on $2500-3000? Are there nice rentals? Willl I need a car or is the bus system adequate? I plan a trip to check the area in person but if this is not the place to start looking I'd like to know before I go in person. Perhaps I am too sedate for this area? Maybe there is a better match potential to check out? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you!.

Answer:
You would probably be happiest in Del Mar, or Solona Beach areas but I am not sure if they would be affordable for you. Cheapest way to go would be to move into the Clairemont area. Cheap but safe neighborhood and just up the hill from Mission Bay. I am not a big fan of Oceanside, sorry.

Would you consider someone unarmed if they were driving a car toward you?
Question:
Recently, a woman was shot in Oceanside, California when she tried to run over an off-duty officer, who was on foot, during a road rage incident. The newspapers keep emphasizing that the woman was "unarmed" at the time of the incident. Isn't a car considered a deadly weapon? Was she armed?

Answer:
Having successfully arrested, prosecuted and convicted persons that have tried to run me over in the field for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, I can justifiably say that a vehicle is, indeed, considered as a deadly weapon when used to intentionally try to run over somebody. Newspapers thrive on controversy. Do not expect complete accuracy in their reporting. An officer justifiably shooting a woman attempting to kill him with a weapon (of any type) is not nearly as controversial as if she was claimed to be 'unarmed' in a strict interpretation of traditional weaponry by the biased reporter. This kind of bent reporting stuff happens every day.

I got freaked out,how would you react?
Question:
I was walking home from a friends house which is only a 15 minute walk, and time after time my parents say "I don't want you walking so dark at night".And i would tend to shake my head and say "Its a good neighborhood.I mean there looked like posers around and i knew some people around from past time. But its not a bad neighbor hood here in oceanside California. So since my cars not up and running I have to walk.So im a 18 yr old male walking home almost home when I see a person walking, and i see he is crossing the street towards me.And he says "Hey where you from!?" I backed off and i got freaked out and said "Hey man I don't want trouble" And the unknown hispanic said "Nah I just wanna know where your from" I told "Him Im Chewy"(My nickname) He said "Its cool man just wanted to know who you were, its cool" So I shook his hand and i noticed like he had a weapon in his back pocket. I told him a knew a couple friends around and I gave him a name and he said oh its cool But was i scared, never has happened to me in life. How would you react? For a minute I wish I was Fedor Emeilianenko!(Best fighter in the world) Yeah I really only been in 1 fight, and i had 4 tyears of kickboxing and i can fight, but Im not a total tough guy,im a calm guy who isn't into fighting and violance for hate.So i didn't know who i was dealing with, this guy maybe has been in prison or somthing idk. Also the guy said "you want some brain"? I have heared that before, does it have to do with sex?

Answer:
most people would have reacted the same way.

Can you walk away from the talking points for a minute and answer this?
Question:
I worked for about 4 years in La Jolla and Del Mar California, truly a beautiful place to visit, if you get a chance. In a lot of the canyons that weave through the $600,000-multi million dollar homes from Claremont to Oceanside, there are migrant farm camps. This is no real secret in San Diego County. These people in these camps who live in the elements that are shot with pellet guns and run out by the cops regularly work for some of the people who live on these hills. Maybe they garden. Maybe they are nannies. Maybe they work in the Carlsbad flower fields. Maybe they do the cooking at Aviara country club or one of the other coastal hotels or farms in the area. They put in work, but they don't get the benefits for that work. Their employers can afford million dollar homes and expensive cars and barely pay these people who live in the valleys the money to go to Jack in a Box. Why is the creation of a defacto slave populace acceptable to those who advocate open borders? To answer a few people who have posted. The situation these people live in, while not slavery de jur (By law) is still de facto slavery (as a matter of fact) because they are so deprived of funds that they will put up with anything to get the cents on the dollar they get here. I didn't post this as a way to say "deport them all." Our country's unemployment sits between 3-5%. There are jobs to be had here. My concern is if businesses NEED these workers, then why are we as a society allowing them to rob them daily with a wink and a nod. Why are we then being asked to subsidize that need?

Answer:
Well put. A star for you! That is exactly what is going on here. I have posted to this fact several times. But the pro-open border people just don't get it. That is why I say that there should be serious penalties for anyone who uses illegal labor. Maybe even pro rate the fine based on how rich the violator is. But since big money rules the land, nothing like this will ever happen.

Sites to see in Southern California, need help!?
Question:
Hey Everyone, I’m taking a week long vaca to Southern California next month and I need some tips to help plan my travel! While it’s easy to look up hotels and things to do, I’m looking for advice from locals or experienced travelers that goes beyond what I can find in a Google search. Here’s my itinerary: 2 days in San Diego 1 day driving up to Long Beach and stopping wherever in between 1 day on Catalina Island 2 days to explore Malibu/Beverly Hills/Hollywood/(maybe LA) 2 days to head back down the coast and San Diego again Now that you know where I’ll be headed, here’s what I’ll need help with: Long Beach has the port to get to Catalina. Should I just get my hotel around here and kind of use it as my “base point” when going to Malibu, Beverly Hills, Hollywood or LA? Or is this kind of far from all of this? I’m looking for cheap obviously, but I’d like a safer neighborhood preferably because I would like to find my belongings in the morning. Lol. If there’s a better neighborhood that’s within a pretty reasonable driving distance to all of these places, please let me know. By reasonable driving distance, I’m ok with a little over half hour away…If Long Beach seems like an ok middle ground- if you have any suggestions for safe areas that you’ve stayed at, that would be great too! My next question is kind of a two parter. When driving from San Diego up to Long Beach, which towns are the most recommended to stop in? I’d like to avoid time wasters but not miss any hidden gems. I see Oceanside, Carlsbad, Cardiff by the Sea, Del Mar, Laguna Beach and so on… Ok here’s the SECOND part then, once I’m up in the LA area, is Malibu and Beverly Hills worth the trip? Am I really going to see anything besides fake boobs, plastic surgery, fancy cars, and shops I can’t afford? Or should I skip this stuff and save my time for something more enjoyable? Ok, sorry so long. Just needs loads of advice here because I tend to waste time on vacations with things that aren’t worth seeing so I’d like to get right to the good stuff this time around. Advice from locals would be great. Especially restaurants that would be worth checking out while I’m there! Please be informational with your answer, I took the time to type all this crap- so I would appreciate mature, helpful responses only. Thank you!

Answer:
La Jolla and Encinitas are well worth stopping in. The towns of Cardiff By the Sea, Leucadia and Solana Beach are now part of Encinitas, but still retain their small town charm. La Especial Norte is a good restaurant to eat at in Encinitas and it's right on 101. Check out the gardens and great oceanview from the Self Realization Fellowship in Encinitas. Nobody will try to convert you. San Clemente in Orange County is worth visiting. Drive down Avenida del Mar to see their cute Spanish-style historic downtown which takes you directly to the beach and pier. If you have time tour Casa Romantica for a panoramic view of the ocean. Beware of the traffic through Del Mar because the horse races are on. I would skip Oceaniside. I'd skip Catalina too. The water in Avalon is some of the worst in the nation in terms of pollution. Long Beach is a bit out of the way to get to Malibu, BH, Hollywood and LA. Because of our infamous traffic it can take anywhere from 50 minutes to 2 hours to get to any of those destinations. Traffic jams can happen at all hours here. Look into staying in Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach or Manhattan Beach. Santa Monica would be a great location for venturing into LA. You can leave on Catalina Island ferries from San Pedro and Marina del Rey too. The Palos Verdes Peninsula drive along Palos Verdes Drive East has some of the best views and scenery you'll see on your So Cal road trip. It's in Los Angeles County, but it seems like a million miles away. You'll find out that Malibu is a sleepy small town. El Pescador State Beach is a nice and uncrowded beach to visit. Beverly Hills is worth checking out although you'll see more camera-toting tourists on Rodeo Drive than real shoppers though. If you're taking PCH and 101 then plan on it taking a lot more time than you thought it would.

Answer:
You are VERY limited as to what you can do. No machinery No kitchen No big company Your best bet maybe to try a movie theater You can try very small businesses (one or two people) Give it time- you have your whole life ahead. Do well in school first, job second
