Does anybody know where the haunted hill in moreno valley is? not the bridge off nason.?
Question:
its a hill where it pulls your car up it. anybody have any ideas where its located or any other haunted stuff to discover in moreno valley?

Answer:
Moreno Valley - Nason Street - Years ago, a bus occupied with children supposedly broke down and was hit by a large diesel truck, pushing them over the freeway overpass. There were no survivors. It is now said that when a car visits this site, when shut off and put in neutral, the spirits of the deceased children will push the car UP over the overpass. This only works when going South. In addition, baby powder sprinkled/poured on the back of the vehicle will allow handprints and footprints of the children to be visible. Sometimes laughter and footsteps can be heard late at night.

Is Moreno Valley a safe place to raise a family?
Question:
I currently live in a very nice part of Long Beach, but we have recently sold our house to live in a cheaper city. I went to Corona, and parts of it didn't look so bad, but it still didn't look nearly as safe as where I live now. I am 26 weeks pregnant, and when looking at the neighborhoods that our realtor brought us to, I just can't see myself safely going for walks with my newborn baby. I was seriously preparing on buying a gun, putting up bars on the windows, and telling my boyfriend to take his new rims off his car so it doesn't get stolen. I know that people steal cars with rims and sell the rims and abandon the car, I know because it happened to my boyfriend's brother, and he may not live in a city like mine, but it's defenently much nicer than Corona. Also, I read a lot of reviews on here and they didn't sound so good. I looked up a lot of beautiful homes in Moreno Valley, for much cheaper than Corona, and I was wondering is that would be a better place to raise a family? I also found a few nice houses in Riverside, most of them in gated communities, are there nice parts of Riverside that are still close to the freeway?

Answer:
I would avoid Moreno Valley at all costs. Sure, you can buy a house in a gated community, but what do you think would happen if your boyfriend all of a sudden got a heart attack or if your house was on fire? In a gated community, it's going to take a LONG TIME for help to come. Plus, a gated community is not going to protect you from danger when you have to leave the community to do something

Should I be afraid of moving to Moreno Valley?
Question:
I currently live in a very nice part of Long Beach, right on the boarder or Seal Beach. My dad sold our house and bought a cheaper house in Moreno Valley. I went with my parents to go look at houses over there, and I never went back. It scared me, and depressed me; my mom even told me she was afraid of moving, also. I keep on seeing on the news all of these freak accidents that are happening in or near Moreno Valley. First I heard about a foreclosed house planted with bombs in Riverside, then the next day they found a body on fire next to a freeway entrance in Lake Elsnore, then, I heard of the story of a man attacking women joggers in Corona, then tonight I was watching the news again and they found a teacher dead in her car in a school parking lot in Moreno Valley. I've lived in a good and safe neighborhood all of my life, and for some reason I think I would feel safer in a city like compton, because i've never heard of anything that drastic happening in these type of cities, even though they still do have horrible reputations. I am thinking of just getting an apartment on my own, but I am afraid of my mom; she's going to be walking around every time she needs something because she does not drive and my dad's going to be at work all day. I'm literally in tears just thinking about leaving my mom alone there; but I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and I have to think of my daughter. Can I please just have some advice on this situation and if I do have a reason to fear moving to this unsafe city, or am I being paranoid? My parent's are moving to Moreno Valley, but my mom is going to leave me with $20,000 to put down on a condo, but all the properties here in California are super expensive and we can't even afford a condo here. I wanted to move to Florida with my boyfriend, and we were looking into it. Although, I do not want to leave my mom; that's why i'm trying to find a way where we can all move together without having to live in Moreno Valley. Sorry for the confusion.. lol. My dad doesn't want to move to Florida because of his job (even though it's a horrible job anyways); and my mom doesn't want to leave my sister. We can always move to whichever part of Florida has a casino that my dad gets a job at, it won't be that difficult as long as we're not too picky of which part of Florida we move to. I honestly just really feel like I need my mom right now, and I think that moving to Florida would be the best, but it seems like i'm the only one who's willing to go through with it.

Answer:
You surely as a souther california resident know that Long Beach and the surrounding cities have their own crimes that are going on right? Your joking about Comptom seeming nicer and safer than Moreno Valley right???? It would take all night long on the news to keep up with the goings on in Compton so they dont mention it, its pasee. there, so thats why they dont mention it much! I do understand your concerns/ Im from Huntington Beach, so I know your area well. I would suggest going and driving around and getting more use to the area and make the call. There are weirdos anywhere, its sad, really sad that todays society is so scary. Long ago, anyone could walk down any street and be safe (except downtown areas, like downtown LA and downtown Long Beach). I stopped listening to the news, and never did for a few years for my own sanity!!! Id go live with mom and dad so you can take mom around in your car so your not worried about her walking. Have you seen their new home yet, sounds like you havent, maybe they found a nicer neighborhood? Your not being paranoid, your being smart. But be more realistic, every single city has crime in it. Its how you keep your wits about you anywhere you live, for the most part. IF dad moved to the ghetto, then move on your own near enough by but in a better area so you can help mom out, who knows she may decide to come live with you. I only drive through there on my way to CA a few times of year. Its a smaller area then where we are both from, more spread out, so its diferent then big city life. Its not a very pretty area, as some places Ive been too either. Id give it a chance once you see where he moved, and decide from there. Id not fear moving there, once I saw my own neighborhood, if the entire neighborhood is bad, then Id make a dif choice.

Failure to stop at a red light ticket in Moreno Valley CA, Riverside County. Can I contest it?
Question:
Basically this sunday evening, I was driving in a local lake park with my girlfriend, and when we went through an empty street and I was going at literally 15 miles (I am a cautious driver) an hour in a designated 25 mph zone. I eventually approached a 4 way intersection where I stopped (Yes, I really did, and my girlfriend can confirm this) at the sign, and (although I honestly didn't stop for too long since there were absolutely NO cars OR people anywhere to be seen or nearby since there aren't many people at the park and this was in broad daylight at 6 pm evening) a young looking cop comes out of nowhere and flashes his lights at me. I stop, he asks for the usual documentation, and I politely give it to him and ask him what the problem was. Although I forgot to put my recent renewed insurance info in my glove compartment (I still had my old one that expired Dec. of 2011), I know if he were to look me up, my information can confirm that I am properly insured and everything. A simple mistake, especially since i'm only 18. So, he gives me the usual legal information, and while this is my first ticket, I never had the chance to tell him my side of the story and I did stop (Just not long enough I guess). He was rude, and kinda seemed like stopping me was the only highlight of his day, since the park is pretty much dead and crime is pretty low in Perris Lake. He told me he didn't see me stop completely, and I would be endangering what he describes as "The various innocent citizens who ride their bikes or run through this CA sponsored highway and he's protecting anyone from getting hurt and not stopping long enough caries the risk of injury or death". I asked him if I can contest this in court and he said "Uh, I mean...you can I guess but you can pay for it instead at court so do what you want". So, while i'm unfamiliar with driving tickets in general, I didn't really know what to do from there. At this point, I was shocked I couldn't get so much as a warning since: A. No one was around except him and us B. I DID stop and C. I didn't violate anything or disrupted any flow of traffic. I personally feel this was an unnecessary ticket, and I want to contest since it not only gives me an unfair strike on my driving record, but I really don't feel that my actions justify paying a $200+ ticket. So am I able to contest this ticket? I'm not trying to knock any young cop out there or cops in general (My best friend is in the police academy), but I feel this particular guy wanted to strike me unfairly and I want some legal justice. A warning sounds a lot better to me in this situation. I would appreciate any advice in this situation, thanks.

Answer:
Your citation may or may not have been justified. Just understand this. You can contest any traffic citation. It will take 2 court appearances. One for your arraignment when you enter a plea, and request a court trial, and again, about 45 days later, for the trial. Also understand that 99% of the time the judge will give more credence to the testimony of the police officer than to yours so you'll probably loose. You may find a better option, although you don't think you deserve it, is to request "Traffic School" .You'll pay a court fee, and also a fee for the class, but the ticket will be dismissed upon completion, and your insurance carrier will never find out.

where can i find my moms obituary online?
Question:
please i really need help finding an article or anything, i tried searching but cant find anything. if anyone can please help i would gladly appreciate it. this is her information leticia reyes dob 05/24/1970 dod 08/17/1995 she died in a car crash in moreno valley california. we were hit by another car, please help i really need the information.

Answer:
mom is not in the social security death index.. she IS in the Calif death index (both can be reached through www.rootsweb.com). http://www.pe.com/ this is the newspaper that seems to serve Moreno Valley...which MAY HAVE a news article. Here is what I am seeing... I don't know how long that paper has been in business. So that is a maybe. As already said, SOME PERSONS don't have obituaries. Or they are not where you think. My friends wife just passed away, they live in Las Vegas, but the obit was placed in Hemet (where her PARENTS live and where services are being held). at rootsweb.com, you can click on SEARCHES, THEN go to Calif deaths, and run the search. I see her social # there, so she did have one. That means you also can send for that file, if you want it for history purpose. Since social security doesn't seem to have it in their file.. you MIGHT NEED the death cert in order to show them that she really did pass away. Last.. she was very young. I am sorry for that loss, and hope finding her records helps you with that. REYES LETICIA 05/24/1967 PALOS F MEXICO RIVERSIDE 08/17/1995 this is the data from the CA death index, which gives a different birth dates. Palos is maiden name of the mom; Mexico is place of her birth. You may need the different date. If no obit, then the state of CA will have the actual death cert, which will cost a little bit but you are entitled to it by law. The name of the funeral home will also be on that record, meaning you can contact them to see if they placed any obit. Funeral homes do that as part of their job.

How do you move to a different state easily and stress free?
Question:
Just picking up and moving to California? Where do you start? What all needs to be done? Checklist? We both want to live in Moreno Valley (family), but it just seems like its too much to do to even get a head start and just go and do it. We live in Kansas now and we both have jobs and cars (i want to sell mine and get something cheaper). Where do we even start?

Answer:
it's all about attitude! Take your time, do your research. Make lists. Check the local paper of your "new neighborhood" to find potential jobs and places to live. Decide what will stay behind and what you'll bring, how big a truck you'll need, how many days it will take to drive to CA and where you'll stop along the way. Make sure you have enough saved so that if/when things don't go exactly right, you won't have to worry so much. The most important thing is to make at least a couple of visits there to explore, maybe find a place to live and set up interviews for jobs. This is what we did when we moved from Las vegas to Nashville 7 years ago with 3 generations and 7 people! We've also done it from the SF bay area to Tahoe and Tahoe to LV, so we've gotten to be experts!

Answer:
Hello California! Wish I was there. :) $450 is pretty good price. You should have gotten or given them a deadline. The thing is (and people will disagree) an engine job generally takes 12 to 14 hours and ties up the repair bay for that period. I can do it faster but to be sure the A/C is charged and there are no boogers or dirt on the interior 12 to 14 hours or slightly more. That means that no other work can be done in that repair bay while the engine is being done. It is for this reason that shops try to get a lot of time to perform the repair, not billable time, just lead time. This lets them perform the swap when they're not busy and don't have to turn away work because a repair bay is unavailable. That's why you need to let them know when you want it back. If you don't, they'll wait for a slow period and assume it's not time sensitive. It may seem like they're delaying the job, but small businesses are crushed to produce these days and turning away work is a no-no. The customer won't come back if you turn them away and overhead costs are high. The best thing you could do is explain just what you think and tell them it is time sensitive. Maybe they will start on it right away once they know you are in a hurry. Hope this helps.
