Going to Lancaster California is an expedition a high profile car i dont want to turn over? ?

Answer:

How far is Lancaster, California to Ojai, California?
Question:
that is if u driving by car. thanks

Answer:
Taking the 14 to the 101 from Lancaster to Ojai is just plain stupid. The best way is to take the 14 south to the 5 north, then west on 126 to the 101 north to the 33. You could take the 150 from Santa Paula rather than the 101 to the 33 if you want to take the scenic route. Either way, it will take about 2 hours.

Does the DMV in Lancaster, Ca make reasonable driving appointments?
Question:
i am in the army and going home to lancaster ca to get a car and a license while on leave, never had a license before. i have a permit from new york and a permit from virginia, would california accept these as valid since i am military? also, does anyone know whether the dmv in lancaster or palmdale makes appointments for their driving tests within a reasonable time period (several days out)

Answer:
Permits don't count, only a valid license from another state. If you have a valid license, a driving test is not required. However, with just a permit, you are applying as a new license holder. No, they generally don't make appts several days out.

What happens if i dont pay a parking ticket?
Question:
I just got a parking ticket this morning from a city security officer. What would happen if I don't pay it. I live in Lancaster, California and the city has a stupid law that you can't park on the street on trash day and I forgot that today was trash day and I woke up to a ticket in my car.

Answer:
A warrant will NOT be issued for your arrest, since in California parking tickets are civil, administrative proceedings. However, the fine WILL increase, you WILL NOT be able to register your vehicle, and eventually your vehicle might be booted or impounded. (Veh C 4760, 22651, 22651.7.) Pay the citation. BTW, that is not a "stupid" law--it allows for your trash to be picked up! It is stupid to think about not paying the well-deserved citation.

They said everything under my hood is leaking!?
Question:
I'm 15, its my grandmas car but she gave it to me to drive her around cause shes partially blind. i have my permit. anyways she bought a 2000 pontiac grand prix gt coupe 134k for $1600 which was a good price i believe since on blue books the car is worth $3k. she bought it from a friend, i guess their close friends. However today we went to go change the oil at jiffy lube and the mechanic told us that everything under the hood was leaking, which was an exaggeration, i think.(a kid and an old woman, most naive customers considering the fact we know nothing about cars). he told us the windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant fluid were all leaking. which i should have caught on because the day before i poured some coolant in and it said it ran out the next morning. the car runs fine, except the steering wheel is getting hard to turn. how much is this to get repaired do we have to buy the parts. where can get get it done cheap. i live in los angeles or lancaster california(travel between two). my grandma doesnt want to give the car back she wants to keep it. p.s. i only have one key to the car which only starts the car, it doesnt lock the car doors so we keep it in the garage. now i read online that my car requires two keys, an entry key and a ignition key correct? cause i called the dealer( i know they could have a key cut for me there for $60) and they were saying that it might be my door locks, which how could it be i tried the driver door lock, passenger door lock and trunk lock , the key wouldn't go in all the way. so i was arguing with this man on the phone and he was like no cars only need 1 key, which i thought that too cause i drive my moms car also and it only requires 1 but my grandmas requires 2 which is correct 2 keys? cause the guy said he could go ahead and make the key for 60 bucks(to prove me wrong) but i dont want to risk paying 60 dollars IF it could be the car doors which i dont think so. yeah this was long also a light on the dashboard flickers it says oil levels low. we have a full tank of gas though

Answer:
When you put in coolant did you put the cap back on ?? Did you take off any other caps that looked interesting and forget to put them back on ?? Sounds harsh, I know... but anything's possible, right ? The question about the keys.... A Pontiac is a General Motors car. They use 2 keys. One for the ignition (rectangular) and the other for the door locks and the trunk lid (oval shaped). If the key only fits in the ignition switch then, it is the rectangular one. As you found out for yourself, they aren't interchangeable because they have two different lock patterns inside the tumbler. You could get the other key made by a decent locksmith or key maker. They could get the tumbler pattern from the glove box lock (if you have one) or from the door/trunk lock. I know that living in LA is expensive BUT..... $60 for a copy of a key ??? shop around, you can get a better price without looking very much or too hard. Some cars only use one key and those are Ford cars/trucks. Don't go to the dealer to get your car repaired... like the other guy said... it's a rip-off and a decent garage mechanic can do the same work for a lot less money. Without checking out the car myself, I can't say what's wrong with the steering. It could just be low on fluid in the pump. The oil light turning on has nothing to do with the car having a full tank of gas. Hope that I helped answer some of your questions.

What can a landlord ask on an application or require in California?
Question:
ok so i know they can ask for SSN and DL# and employment history...ect But can they ask for information on your cars; (this place is asking for ; make, model, year, color, license #, legal owner, insurance co. ) is that legal Also they're requiring i get a pet license for my cat and dog, can they do that? cause i spoke with the local LA animal shelter and they said that indoor cats don't even require it, under the law. btw has anyone ever dealt with "Kennedy Real Estate managment" in lancaster, CA?

Answer:
Yes, since these will be on their property they can require all of this information. While LA may not require that your cat have a license, the property owner can, and that the cat wears it. Cats get out of apartments all of the time, this is for the cats protection, so they can quickly identify where it lives and that it is not a stray.

I feel like giving up. thank u in advance o and i make payments on my car..i owe a lot ...if i trade it in my payments will be more..i was contemplating a voluntary reposession? thank u to your answers esp 1,2, and 4:)

Answer:
Check this site - there is low-income housing available in Lancaster. Check the rules for each housing project to see if you qualify; it's not welfare, it's just low prices for low-income residents. http://www.cityoflancasterca.org/Index.aspx?page=166 Talk with your employer - some have tuition programs to help pay for education. Also, talk to the counselor on campus. There are lots of programs to help stressed-out students, but they can't help you if you don't ask. A counselor could also point you towards some great scholarships to finance some of your tuition.
