Is it legal to run a auto repair shop from your home in Garden Grove CA? Question: I had someone repair my car at his home in Garden Grove, CA, he said he has applied for licensing and this is his "shop". HE TOTALLY ripped me off with the repairs, they weren't done properly & argued constantly w/ his mechanic. They were supposed to finish the job (I took my car home after 6 days of this bs with the generator light on just to get it out of there) he told me to order the parts to finish it, I did, Sat. I get a call later in the day on my cell that he and his mechanic are fighting & that mechanic won't be doing it at all. Next day I get a call and he tells me that he doesn't owe me any thing and will only fix 1 item, he did not give me a written estimate before hand and wanted me to sign in 2 places an invoice that also stated he gave me an estimate, of course this is all after I paid him (just to get the car away from him). I refused & now I know he is endangering a disabled person by doing a conversion on his car, this man & mechanics are maniacs. HELP! Answer: AT THE LEAST HE IS PROBABLY VIOLATING ZONING LAWS. |

Question: my class of anatomy wants to go to a medical school down at San diego but our school doesn't have any money, so we need to start car washes, and fund raisers, but we don't know how much we would need for 60 students and to go to San Diego from Garden Grove Answer: Contact one of the School Bus contractors for a local school district in your area. Most of them have a few buses in their fleet that are licensed for Charter work. They may not be the most comfortable ride around, but if you are looking for inexpensive, basic transportation for your group, this could be an solution to your problem. Something to keep in mind.... most Charter buses (the big road coaches) will only hold about 50 people... so you will either need to cut your group down or get two coaches. If you go the route I have suggested above, you may get a bus that is capable of transporting 60 people on one bus. If you were going further than 100 miles... which is about what you are aiming at, I would not suggest this.... but hey... It's only an hour and a half ride to San Diego... Hope this helps... Question: We used to go to this place on Garden Grove Blvd in Garden Grove California every Saturday for dinner: spaghetti and a small pizza. In the late 1970s they retired and moved back east. It is the only spaghetti/pizza sauce I've ever really liked. Does anyone out there have the recipe? The last name of the owners was Cunningham. The one owner was named Margie. They always hired young men to work there so they could earn money for a car or school. Thanks for any help you can give me.
