Behind the wheel test Escondido California?
Question:
Ok so i am taking my behind the wheel test on tuesday in Escondido california and i was wondering if its really hard i am really nervous about taking it and everyone say i am a really good driver and i get a lot of compliments. does anyone know the test route and what do your exactly do? When the first get in the car what do THE EXACTLY have your do? please help and get back to me

Answer:
!st. put on your seat belt 2nd. Familiarize yourself with the instruments and controls. Like the emergency brake, turn signal, high/low beams, windshield wipers etc. If you are not sure where something is or what a control does then ask the instructor. He/ she is not going to bite your head off for asking. 3rd. Don't be nervous just drive like you normally would and stay alert. If you fail your 1st try you can always take it again, it's not a big deal. 4th. Don't worry about the test route. It probably changes from day to day anyway. They want it to be unpredictable like true driving situations.

how expensive is it to live in Escondido California...?
Question:
I plan on moving to Escondido California in September on 2010... I found an apartment for 750 a month and of course I have to pay utilities which the land lord said that it would be around 50 to a 100 dollars a month depending of course on how much electricity I will use... ( so Im going to just assume it will be 100.00)... I guess what Im asking is are there any cheaper apartments in that area and I have a car as well, I don't have a job yet I will be looking for one when I move down there is the unemployment rate still very high and the possibility of getting a secretary job not very likely?.... any appropriate answer helps thank you so much =)

Can you get from Escondido, CA to San Diego, CA using public transportation?
Question:
I am traveling to California this summer to attend Comic Con. I'm from a rural area in the east so I'm not used to public transportation and wasn't really finding much trying to search for this information. I have relatives in Escondido that are willing to let me stay with them, but I need transportation. I can't borrow their cars and I'm not old enough to rent one. Are there buses or anything that go from San Diego to Escondido and back? Taking taxis seems expense as does trying to get a hotel through the week.

Answer:
Yes, North County recently started the "Sprinter" which is a train that travels from Escondido to Oceanside only. So you can take the Sprinter to Oceanside Transit Depot and then get the "Coaster" which is another train that Travels from Oceanside Depot to downtown San Diego. From there you can either take a trolley to get to the Convention or walk. My cousin uses this method to get to Comic Con every year and they goes the 3 days that is here...

whats a good credit score to get a car load in CA?
Question:
Im about to buy my first car, and i was just wondering what would be an OK credit score to purchase a car, and what would be a GREAT one. thank you in advance. I live in Escondido California. my credit score is 707.

Answer:
you should be just fine with that credit score. make sure you have nothing in collections and try to get a loan from a credit union, if possible, and not a loan the dealer gives you - dealer loans will have higher interest rate. fill out an application with san diego county credit union and see what they can do. if push comes to shove - dealers will always find you a loan, but you might have a higher interest rate.

Is the California Air Resources Board an environmental agency?
Question:
Please look at the description of CARB below. They told California industry, eg the forest products industry who has 300 million dollars worth of composite panels sitting right now in the state, (but cannot sell it due to regulations adopted by the agency) to throw the material in the ocean. Based on this statement is CARB an environmental agency or something akin to the Mafia? CARB is a state agency of almost one billion in tax subsidized income and which is composed of about 1200 employees with over half or around 60% of them being lawyers. (Currently they are involved in 7 litigations from car manufacturers to whatever). A division of Cal EPA is a little scientific agency called the OEHHA or Office of Environmental Health Hazards Assessment. OEHHA and ARB do not conduct scientific studies themselves but farm it out to liberal universities and other pro-cause, cause-celeb organizations to give them scientific advice on the issue, whatever it may be. CARB has no oversight from anyone, including the legislature and the current governor has overlooked any and all complaints against this agency by Californians. He is on a mission to be number one in the world on environmental issues, doesn't matter if there are benefits or not or the fact that he is the most hypocritical person of all time, driving his six hummers and flying back and forth from LA to Sacramento daily on his private jet. Maria flys weekly from LA to Escondido on her private helicopter to ride her horses. Jim Z.... you are not alone. Their mafia style tactics are nothing more than environmental terrorism and legislation I proposed is going to bring this to an end giving the people oversight on what this agency is allowed to do. Jim, however with the liberal majority in this state it will not get passed. Sorry.

Answer:
I had to abide by a CARB mandate a few months ago. It involved a weird sampling device on a vapor system that required a multi thousand dollar installation, a specialized technician, and an expensive analyses to accomplish next to nothing. My contempt for them cannot be written easily. They certainly don't hesitate to waste people's money as if California is overflowing with excess cash.

Have any of these counsel members ever heard of the words, “illegal immigration?” ?
Question:
OCEANSIDE ---- Apartments and homes crammed with people are creating tension in some Oceanside neighborhoods, according to City Council members, who took an early step this week to confront the issue. At Wednesday's meeting, the council directed the city attorney to present them with options in three to four months for dealing with crowded homes. In some neighborhoods, Councilman Jerry Kern said, "We have two or three or four families living in a house. We have seven, eight, nine cars parked around." Many California cities are struggling with overcrowding, which is often linked to the immigration issue. Addressing it can be tricky. "We really face issues with regards to occupancy limits," City Attorney John Mullen told the council. "Those are set by state law, and generally, we're pre-empted from regulating that area." Sometimes, cities will work around the perimeter of the issue. In the next month, the Escondido City Council will consider an overnight parking ordinance that some officials say is an attempt to curb overcrowding in the urban core. Oceanside Councilman Jack Feller urged Mullen to explore all options. "We maybe need to be the one that's on the cutting edge of trying to make this a public health and safety issue and stop this madness, because we're getting complaints every day," Feller said. http://www.northcountytimes.com/articles/2008/08/15/news /coastal/oceanside/zf5c7e75fd1160ed0882574a500575d1c.txt

Why is Calif NOT giving citations to illegals caught driving without a license they now have phone a friend?
Question:
Delfino Aldama was fixing a customer's brakes this month when his smartphone chimed with a text message that tipped him to a police checkpoint more than an hour before officers began stopping motorists. The self-employed auto mechanic frantically called friends with the location and drove an alternate route home. The Mexico native had reason to be alarmed: He does not have a driver's license because he is in the United States illegally, and it would cost about $1,400 to get his Nissan Frontier pickup back from the towing company. He has breathed a little easier since he began getting blast text messages two years ago from activists who scour streets to find checkpoints as they are being set up. The cat-and-mouse game ends Jan. 1 when a new law takes effect in California to prohibit police from impounding cars at sobriety checkpoints if a motorist's only offense is being an unlicensed driver. Thousands of cars are towed each year in the state under those circumstances, hitting pocketbooks of illegal immigrants especially hard. When Aldama's 1992 Honda Civic was towed from a checkpoint years ago, he quit his job frying chickens at a fast-food restaurant because he had no way to make the 40-mile round trip to work. He abandoned the car rather than pay about $1,200 in fees. "A car is a necessity, it's not a luxury," said the 35-year-old Aldama, who lives in Escondido with his wife, who is a legal resident, and their 5-year-old son, a U.S. citizen. Assemblyman Gil Cedillo, a Los Angeles Democrat who tried unsuccessfully to restore driver licenses to illegal immigrants after California revoked the privilege in 1993, said he introduced the bill to ban towing after learning the notoriously corrupt city of Bell raked in big fees from unlicensed drivers at checkpoints. A sharp increase in federally funded sobriety checkpoints in California has fueled controversy. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration paid for 2,553 checkpoints last year, which authorities say helps explain why deaths caused by drunken drivers dropped to an all-time low in the state. Police also ask for drivers' licenses at the sobriety checkpoints. Supporters of the vehicle impounds say unlicensed drivers are also a roadside hazard and that the new law is misguided. "It's a terrible law, really disappointing," said Jim Maher, who sharply expanded checkpoints in Escondido after being named police chief in 2006. Answer:
California is already bankrupt and now these activist are helping the illegals. Why don't they help the homeless, the veterans, the blind, the hungry, the whatever instead of helping the illegals? Priorities again. When California is hurting for money these activist are not helping their state one bit. Just don't come crying to my state to help you get out of debt!

Supporters voice outrage over drunk drivers child molesters being deported what laws are suppose to apply?
Question:
Supporters voice outrage over drunk drivers child molesters being deported what laws are suppose to apply to illegals do they think any of the laws do or do illegals get a free pass on every law ? local immigrant rights group last year issued a travel advisory for people visiting the city, saying the program invites racial profiling. Critics contend that the measure is the latest effort by City Hall, which once tried to punish landlords for renting to illegal immigrants, to create a hostile environment for Latinos. young man recognized by police as a previously deported immigrant, someone hanging out with known gang members or someone pulled over who can't provide identification can now be subject to an immediate immigration check. When Escondido police officers pulled over Barrera in October for the broken tail light, he couldn't provide a driver's license. He gave his name to the officer, who called ICE agents. A few minutes later the agents rolled up to the scene, having determined through a database check that Barrera had previous convictions and had been deported in 2005. After they confirmed his identification through the image on a cellphone, Barrera was arrested. The woman and child in the car were not checked for their immigration status, police said. Few police departments in California, including the Los Angeles and San Diego departments, inquire about immigration status on routine police contacts. The Escondido program is most similar to one in Arizona, where federal immigration officers can respond to traffic stops. Under that program, however, all illegal immigrants, regardless of criminal history, can be arrested, according to ICE. Having immigration officers inside the city, Escondido police say, has made the city safer by exposing people who pose a threat. One man stopped for walking after hours along a drainage canal turned out to be a convicted wife batterer; another man pulled over for having tinted windows in his car, an immigration check showed, was a convicted child molester. But critics contend that most detainees are people with drunk driving convictions from long ago who are hardly criminals. "What about a person who was 21 years old, convicted in 1979, and here we are in 2011, he's now in his 50s, has a family and hasn't had any law enforcement contact, and he gets deported. Is that what we want?" said Bill Flores, a local activist and former assistant sheriff for San Diego County. "It ruins lives unnecessarily." When Salvador Santoyo Juarez, 61, was pulled over last month for a having tinted windows in his car, an immigration check revealed that he had convictions for child molestation, drug transportation and drunk driving — all more than 20 years old. To his family, the grandfather of eight was hardly a threat to the community, spending most of his days resting his injured hip in front of the television. His wife, Carmen, 54, said his deportation would tear the family apart. "There are so many bad people, and they focus on the one who does nothing," she said. "How sad." http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-adv-immigrant-cr ackdown-20110206,0,1694830.story?track=rss

Answer:
"There are so many bad people, and they focus on the one who does nothing," she said. "How sad." If child molesters and drug traffickers aren't bad people, then I don't know who is. It boggles my mind that the reporter who cited that example might have actually thought readers would be sympathetic to someone like Juarez simply because he'd managed not to be convicted of anything in the last 20 years. He should have been deported after those convictions, but it's not too late to get rid of him.
