Answer:
Only in California is "freedom" a crime. They say it's a crime for an animal to mate within 1500 feet of a school but yet push it on young teenagers in health class. Thank GOD ducks have the right of way though. Surely people don't anymore in California. Biggest problem with California is that they are bringing their liberal mentality to other states like Washington, Idaho and Montana.

What are some fun things to do in L.A.??
Question:
My mom said I can visit my dad he lives in downey, california(its part of L.A.) ive been to there twice, but he doesn't have a car so what are some fun things to do that people who live in california do?

Answer:
Raette, I don't know how you will get around since I don't know about buses in Downey if your Dad doesn't have a car. You will have to ask him how one gets around over there... but here are some things you could choose from. Hope you have a great visit with your Dad... Here is some stuff you might do in the area... Try these things to see in L.A.---Have Fun----->>>>>>>>>>>> 1.Eat at Pinks or Pinkberry or In and Out burger-In and Out has really good chesseburgers. Their totally fresh French fries ironically I don’t like because they are too “crumbly”? I like McDonalds crispy French Fries better (even though they are not fresh and are flash frozen. Pinks is OK but not worth a real long wait. They need to clean up and freshen up the street area a little. 2.Farmers Market at the Grove. Go to Charley’s Café in the Farmer’s Market. Go the closest booth to Fairfax. Charlie and Bob are great. Reasonable food at a reasonable price. Charlie is about a 50 year old female….. (@ Fairfax and W. 3rd) 3.See a movie at Graumin’s Chinese theater 4.Griffith Observatory, note--reservations now required. The new Oschin Planetarium show is the best part of it. 5.Getty Museum in town off 405 (reservations- NO LONGER REQUIRED) First Class Art of many periods and interesting Architecture. Cool Tram Ride and great city pics if it is not smoggy or cloudy. 6.Getty Villa Malibu (reservations) 7.Norton Simon Museum (Pasadena) 8.Hollywood Bowl concerts (arrange parking first) 9.Walk of Fame/Stars (3 ½ miles round trip

my landlord is walking all over me and my family please help me . . .?
Question:
I rent in downey, california . . . I live with my mom and dad, our landlord is being prosicuted for not taking care of her properties, she is being forced to bring them to code. I live on a property with two houses, she is fixing the house in the front but instead of fixing ours she has decided to tear it down. she made an agreement with my dad that if he fixes the house from his own pocket and labor we can stay, she made him sign a paper and gave us a copy with a list of repairs but didnt sign it herself, she changed her mind after he made the repairs and gave us an eviction notice, she then towed two cars from our driveway (one which my dad way fixing and one that was running but was no operating permit) tore our fences down, threw away two brand new tires in our back yard, and sent us a threatening paper saying that we need to bring the property to code because we agreed or she wil hire someone and bill us, and this is after we've been given the notice, we need help please anyone!

Answer:
http://www.caltenantlaw.com/ Renters have certain rights. Landlords have to comply with them or face the possibility of having a long and drawn out court fight that is expensive. The renter can sue and stay rent free for long enough to finish the hearings. I have heard of people getting the home in litigation. It is a long road and there are many other things on the website that can help you. The vehicle removal is totally illegal. You can charge her with grand larceny. The repairs made can be billed to her. Any contract has to have two signatures.
