Does anybody know if the Maaco in Springdale,Arkansas is any good? Im thinking about getting my car painted.?
Question:
They're only charging me $550.00. People tell me that a good paint job should cost anywhere from $800.00-1200.00.

Answer:
Macco uses low quality paint and untrained workers. the result is a poor, sloppy job that won't last very long. i'm doing a repair on a car now with a Macco paint job on it and it was so poorly sanded that the paint is peeling off. it will now cost the customer twice as much for a paint job since we have to strip off the Macco paint first to do it right. $550 barely covers the cost of good paint, never mind the labor.

does anyone know if springdale, ark. has a public bus system to get people around town on-?
Question:
I'm looking to move to springdale or maybeFayetteville arkansas and want to know about public transportation(i don't have a car right now) also, if someone could tell me about general jobs in this area it would be helpful.

Answer:
I currently live in Bentonville, just north of Springdale and Fayetteville. There is the Ozarks regional transit which runs buses throughout the area. I've attached a link to the website. If I was going to live in the area, I'd live either in Fayetteville or Bentonville, but that's my personal choice. Employment is pretty healthy here, thanks to Wal-Mart (Bentonville), Tyson Farms (Springdale) and JB Hunt (Lowell) having home offices here. There are lots of businesses supporting the work of those companies. Fayetteville is the largest town in the area and has the University of Arkansas' main campus, so there's lots of work supporting that as well. The Northwest Arkansas Mall is in Fayetteville and is the area's largest shopping center, but the Promenade at Pinnacle is a new, outdoor mall with lots of high end stores and it's right off the interstate, so it's easy access, I'm sure the bus line is already going there. I know there are fairly new apartments right across the street from the mall in Fayetteville and rent is pretty reasonable here. The housing market is not so healthy, but it's not much worse than anywhere else. Too many homes built in anticipation of demand that are now sitting empty, but that's more Bentonville than Springdale and Fayetteville. You're probably not in the market for a house just yet, though. Northwest Arkansas is a beautiful area, in the foothills of the Ozarks, with lakes nearby and lots of natural attractions. Eureka Springs is about an hour away and is a popular destination. Branson is about 2 hours away. Arkansas has many beautiful state parks and I don't think there are fees to enjoy any of them. Devil's Den is just south of Fayetteville and offers miles of hiking trails for all abilities, campsites, cabins and food. There is a picture perfect dam that was built during the WPA era of the Depression. I've taken dozens of pictures of the dam and still can't get over its picturesque beauty.

Question:
A woman named Jane A mother plays an important role in her daughter’s life. This definitely applies to me. I have known my mom my whole life, but never thought of here as anyone other than my mom until I got older. Being a mom is hard, this I now know from experience. We have shared many wonderful, funny, and sad times. There have been times were we did not get along at all. Now, we are able to agree to disagree about some things. I know my mom did a lot of sacrificing for me and my sister. I have just recently come to appreciate that. Anyone can be a mom, but it takes someone special to be a mother and friend. I was born via emergency cesarean section in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 25, 1983. My mom was flown by helicopter from Springdale Hospital to St. Johns. I am told it was storming that day. My dad had to drive the four hours to Tulsa; this was before the new highway. I was born two months early because my mom was diagnosed with preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is genetic and I had it with my first pregnancy as well. Preeclampsia causes high blood pressure and causes extreme water swelling. These complications can be life threatening. The doctors told my dad that their first priority was to save the baby. Meaning they were not sure if my mom was going to survive, and that I stood the best chance of surviving. My mother amazingly did survive and we stayed at St. Johns for the next two weeks. After we were released we went back to our home in Springdale, Arkansas. I do not remember being a toddler. My mom has told me I acted very mature and did not get into trouble. She has also said that if my sister had been born first, her and my dad probably would not have had any more children. She was a strong willed child. My sister was not born until I was seven. My parents thought if they had us farther apart we wouldn't fight as much. That idea did not work out so well. We fought a lot when we were younger. After my sister was born my mom went back to school. She went to Northwest Technical Institute for secretarial and business. I remember helping her study. I did not realize at the time how hard that must have been. My dad helped out, but I was seven and my sister was seven months old. My mom went to school full time and worked part time. Two years after she got out of school her and my dad decided to separate. Thankfully it was not one of those horrible, cringing divorces. Still that must have been a terrible time for my mom. After the divorce me, mom and my sister moved into a town house in not so good part of town. We now laugh about when we lived in the ghetto. My mom worked full time job at J.B. Hunt. She seemed to always be at work. When she was not working long hours she would try and cook dinner for us. The smell seeping out of our house sometimes around six o'clock was often of burnt food. Around the holidays she would work two jobs. I recently found out that she only made seven dollars an hour then. Even though that was a few years ago, I wonder how she was able to pay all the bills. I was in Drill Team at Central Junior High and that is expensive. My sister and I were never in need of anything. My mom always found a way to provide for us. My dad also helped and we spent every other weekend with him. She was always at home with us when she was not working or we were not at our dads. Some of the funnier times together have involved cars. At one time we had this red and white striped station wagon. It was horrible. It would squeak like a dog toy, only very loud, every time my mom turned the corner. I was a teenager and was humiliated. My mom would tell us she hated it too and soon we would get a new car. After that car, we got a car that looked fine on the outside. Looks can be deceiving. My mom referred to it as the sweat box. It had no air conditioning. It seemed even if you had the windows rolled down it was still hotter than hell. One time we went on a road trip in that car to six flags. My mom has the worst since of direction. She also has too much pride to stop and ask for directions if she is lost. So as we were driving toward War Eagle to get to St. Louis, Missouri, which is the wrong way, she drove around a corner and one of the hub caps went flying off. She looked at me and said, "Kristy, jump out and get the hub cap." I was laughing and said, "No way how embarrassing." But I went and got the hub cap anyway. We spent that whole trip chasing after that hub cap. We still laugh about that. People must have thought we were crazy. My mom is also some what of a risk taker. Still to this day she likes to see how low she can run on gas before she has to get some. I now laugh about this funny trait of hers. As a child the idea of running out of gas was scary. When I was fifteen my dad died unexpectedly in a car crash, all of my family was very upset. My mom picked me up from school to tell me what happened. She had been crying. That time was very hard for the both of us. My mom tried the best she could to comfort me. She held me when I would cry. She told me funny stories about when her and my dad dated. I think it was during that time that I started realizing that she was someone other than just my mom. She was actually a woman. A woman who loved and grieved for my dad. A woman who had struggled financially for a few years to give me and my sister everything we wanted. She was a person who at that moment was trying to be strong for someone else, when she too was hurting. I felt very close to her during that time. My mom is someone I admire for many reasons. She has done a lot of sacrificing in her life for me. When I was born she almost lost her life. As I got older she worked very hard to give me everything I wanted. She has also been not only my mother, but a great friend. Now I know her not only as my mom, but as Jane Scott, a funny, giving and loving person. There is a quote by Abraham Lincoln which I feel sums up how I feel about my mom "All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother."

Question:
There is a case in my town here, yesterday they found two missing childrend 5 y/o boy and 4 y/o girl dead in their parents trunk. Horrible right so i watched our local news while getting ready for work this morning this is what they said: The death of two small children found in the trunk of a car in a Northwest Arkansas neighborhood has police looking for answers on what went wrong. Investigators questioned residents at a neighborhood in Springdale Tuesday after they found two small children dead inside the trunk of a car at a duplex in the area. According to police, the children were four and five year old siblings living at #@$% in Springdale. Authorities say the children's mother called police at 4:35 p.m. on Monday to report her four-year-old daughter and five-year-old son were missing. Police say they arrived a short time later, but searched the home and neighborhood another 35 minutes before they found the small siblings unresponsive, inside the trunk of the family's car. Medical help was called to the home, but they pronounced the children dead at the scene. Springdale Police Sgt. Shane Pegram says they're still investigating, trying to find out just what happened. "There's a strong possibility that the kids may have very well just been outside, and found a way into the trunk, closed it on themselves, playing a game, but we want to be very thorough in our investigation. We're going to have detectives out today in the neighborhood, going door to door, speaking with neighbors, with other children, just to make sure our investigation is thorough, and we don't want to rule out anything at this point." Even though police say it's too early to tell if foul play was a factor, they add it is an important lesson for parents to keep kids from playing in vehicles, especially on hot summer days. Police say the vehicle was a 2000 Chevy Malibu, and add, the children's bodies will be sent to the State Crime Lab for further investigation. Police say the last time a child died in the trunk of a car in Springdale was in 2003. The cause of death has not been released. The names of the five-year-old boy and four-year-old girl have not yet been released and the deaths remain under investigation. After years thinking they could not have children, Chris and Katrina Markley say things were finally turning around, and they were packing up to move to a bigger home with their budding family. But Monday, their dreams for the future were shattered. Chris says, "we're not going to move into that home in Bella Vista. We just don't see the need now." Katrina says she thought her kids, 4-year-old Virginia and 5-year-old Curtis, were playing with a little girl across the street, but says what happened next made her heart stop. "The little girl from across the street came over, asking for them, and I thought they were with her, and she said, 'no.' " So the whole neighborhood spread out to search, but Katrina says soon, her worst fears were confirmed. "I was about two streets over, and I was right here on the corner when I heard my mom scream, and I just ran over here, and I seen everybody standing at the end of my car." Long-time family friend Jack Wilson was one of those at the foot of the Markley's car, and describes what happened as he summoned police. "The grandmother opened the trunk and she started gong hysterical, screaming. And we went over there and the children were laying in the trunk. They were laying there just like they had snuggled up and went to sleep." With the sudden loss of their only son and daughter, the Markleys are looking to memories of their childrens' lives for comfort. Chris describes the two: "they were always wound up, always happy. I mean, I wish I had a 1/4 of their energy." And while Curtis was already a country singer, they say Virginia was a blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty. "She was 4 going on 18, put it that way." Chris demonstrates: "You know that thing you all girls do when you put your hand on your hip and toss that head around? Oh, she just had that down pat." Mom and dad add, the Markley kids were two peas in a pod. "They were together for everything. If one was getting in trouble, the other one was right there getting in trouble." And Wilson says simple mischief may have been what led to their deaths, instead of foul play. "[It's] just really sad, and of course, the police, they finger-painted the car and all that and found little finger prints shutting it." Now Chris Markley says even after they move, they'll never forget the little fingers that mischievously painted these "murals" on their living room walls. "I'm going to miss her dearly. I'm going to miss my son dearly. They were the only two I've had, and I loved them both." The family says soon they'll hold a memorial service for their children, in Springdale, and want to thank the community and their loved ones for continued support. Does this sound not right to you?? Who lets thier kids out on th

Answer:
4 and 5 year olds should NEVER be outside without supervision. Parents must always make sure a car is locked after useage - especially the trunk. I feel it's the parents fault for this incident. It sounds like the mother felt they were both older and could fend for themselves................NOT!!!
