How can I get a Car title in Arkansas for a car I have had for 3 months. The guy who gave it to me skipped?

out. I found out it was his car he and his wife were having problems so she gave the car away. But now I find out they did not have a title to the car. They still owe money on it. But the place they got it just keeps giving me the run around. They said since I am not the one the car belongs to they will not talk to me. But I called the police and they turned in Paper work to Rogers Arkansas And Benton County Police stations and they told the car lot they had till Wednesday to get the car out of my yard now it is Friday and they refuse to come get it.So where do I stand at. I was given the car. At the time I did not know there was NO title I was told they had misplaced it in their move. But their landlord wanted the Car out of the yard. So they were giving it away. Like a FOOL I hired a wrecked and got it to my house. After which I found out after fighting with them Since November and No title. I started making calls I found the place who had the Car through Roger License place. So I called and found out at 1st $335 still owed. Ok I will just pay it off to get the title. Then I was told NO they owe $1000 on it now they owe $5000 in late fee's and carry charges. Well then I get a call it gonna be reported Stolen. So I call the Police in my town and get myself out of the middle by telling my side and how I have the Car. So the cop calls the Car Lot they were to come get the car. Now they Refuse, and NoBody Knows where the owner is and So Now I have a Car I can Not Do anything with. I can NOT give it away. I can NOT get a title, I can not move it the cop say

If title is with the finance company it is their vehicle. You're right - they won't talk to you about it because you are not the owner. Since you are not the owner of the vehicle (the finance company apparently is) you will not be able to get title. What are you asking here? Why is the car in your yard? Do you want it removed?
