Should I Buy a 2008 Scion xb?
Question:
I'm comsierding getting one. It is the new version, and i have read and heard so many different things about it, good and bad. The biggest thing i am worried about is it rolling. Should that even be an issue to worry about? I also read a review that said it had"numb steering". Any idea what that means? I like to drive to flagstaff and payson,(arizona) is this car okay for that kind of road?

Answer:
The xB2 is a great ride. It has the Camry four-cylinder engine which provides reasonable performance and decent economy, is comfortable, fun to drive and comes loaded with features like, traction control, stability control, ABS, airbags everywhere and a full compliment of power features (brakes, steering, locks, windows, AC, etc.). It has a pretty low center of gravity, so you'd have to be driving extremely hard and braking at the apex of a curve to roll one. Driven reasonably, you'll get about 25 mpg around town and 30 mpg on the road. It'll be fine for driving to Payson of Flagstaff. It's not available in AWD, but the traction control helps you go in the snow. On top of that the Scion is big on the inside and small on the outside, has a decent stock stereo, and with tons of aftermarket accessories can be modified to suit your driving style/personality. It's one of Consumet Reports top rated vehicles and has been well received/reviewed by several popular car magazines. It doesn't look like every other "me too" ride on the road and some people can't handle that. If you're looking for heated leather seats, self dimming mirrors, a vinyl roof with opera lights, or a big-assed V8, the xB2 isn't for you. It also won't impress mullet-haired, Camaro beater owners, but you shouldn't buy any car to impress other people. Buy one to impress you. Check out http://www.newscionxb.com

Well i got to my sons house after not seeing him after 11 years, when he ran away at 15.?
Question:
Well i got to my sons house after not seeing him after 11 years, when he ran away at 15.? me my and my husband left scottsdale last night to a place called payson arizona. when we got to payson, it looked crappy and dirty. when we got to his place, he had his truck up front and a el camino, that his wife drives. the front yard was clean. my son also got his wife pregnant when he was 23, and his wife is one year younger. now that he is 26 and raising children, that just seems so young. then i saw a liquer cabinet in his kitchen. when we walked to his office, i saw his daughter and son writing letters, while his wife helped them. then i saw vult with many kinds of guns in it. when i got his living room there was a few guitars and rock band cds, and some r rated movies. i know my son is a good person being a sherrif deputy, trying to be a county detective and his wife being a nurse, trying to be a doctor. i just wanted better for him, like new cars, wealthy job, and a beatiful wife. his wife is a pretty skinny nice girl. any advice on this problem, like having children in there twenties, they are not mature enough to have children. those 2 cars are not safe, thats why we drive volvos. also having rock n roll and r rated movies is just disrespectful and innapropriate. there jobs just seem to have a lot responsibilities. guns a dangerous and can make violent situations. lastly marrying a girl without letting me know. alchol is not safe and can kill you.

Answer:
I can certainly understand why he ran away at 15. His parents are ignorant, arrogant and self-righteous. Your son and his family are doing just fine without your judgement and condescension. Do them a favor and butt out of their happy lives.

Get over it. He's an adult & can make his own choices. Obviously he made the right one by staying away from you for 11 years.

Got caught by speeding cameras. When can I expect the ticket in the mail?
Question:
It happened a couple hours from where I live. I live in Arizona in Flagstaff but I was on vacation in Payson and I got flashed at night time. Had NO idea the cameras were there and I actually thought I was going the limit but whatever. The speed limit was 55 and I was going anywhere between 55-58. Nothing too major. But then, the speed limit decreases to 45. Having it be so late at night and basically no lights on the sides of the road, I could not see the sign that indicated the limit changed. So, I see a big flash and I was the only car around so it got me. This happened about 13 days ago to this day (it happened Sunday night and it is now Saturday morning - 3 am). I was talking to friends and they said it should have arrived that week. But nothing yet. Maybe I lucked out but I'm expecting something to come. When can I except and is there a certain time limit it has to arrive in otherwise it gets thrown out or what? Thanks all.

Answer:
Usually within 3 weeks I think, so give it another week or two then you are most probably ok.

If the 911 call isn't pointless to the person calling, should they still get in trouble?
Question:
Help Police, My Bunny’s Not Got Floppy Ears LONDON (Reuters) - Call the cops quick -- my new rabbit hasn't got floppy ears. It doesn't sound like a case for Sherlock Holmes but one woman decided it was worth calling the 999 emergency number when her new bunny did not match its newspaper advert description, according to Central Scotland Police. The force, which said on Monday it wanted to highlight abuse of the 999 phone system, also revealed that two callers had rung up within minutes of each other to complain about being splashed by a car driving through a puddle. "It is unbelievable that anyone should phone 999 to report being soaked by a passing car, ask for a postcode or report that the item bought from a newspaper advert was not as described," said Chief Inspector Alan Stewart. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080915/od_uk_nm/oukoe_uk _britain_bunny;_ylt=Ag2ajZw9ylkW4FsqL19doLrtiBIF Woman Mistakes Elk’s Call For A Fight, Calls Cops PHOENIX - It's a haunting, high-pitched scream that is commonly misunderstood by newcomers to Arizona's high country and the state's city dwellers. It's called bugling, and male elk do it to attract females and scare off other males so they can mate. The season just began and usually runs through the beginning of October. Those who've never heard an elk bugle often get confused and call authorities. A woman who lives in Mesa Del, a subdivision just northeast of Payson, called the Gila County Sheriff's Office early Monday morning to report a fight, saying she heard a lot of screaming. Lt. Tim Scott said responding deputies quickly realized the woman was really hearing elk. Scott said he's heard bugling at his home just south of Payson for the past five nights. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080917/ap_on_fe_st/odd_no isy_elk;_ylt=AiFf0QiD1D8DnBQvfZtqU3ztiBIF

Answer:
That all depends on the call...bugling elk in the middle of the night, much like a fox calling for their young, is somewhat creepy. Non-floppy bunny ears on the other hand will get a good laugh, but ties up the lines for someone who really needs the help. I wouldn't charge either person for abusing the "999" or "911" system, just smile and hang up.
