Need Legal help for Senior family member who has brain damage? Question: I reside in Arizona and need to know if anyone can help me with my step father... He's dieing, and was a very good caring and loving step dad to my sister and myself.. He is allowing me to have his car, but we dont know where the keys are nor do the apartments (where his things are) want to help us in any way because they want all of his things inside his apartment. But they didn't know he even had a car so my sister called the police here in my town of Kingman, and he said tow it to your sisters apartments. It's here, but i have only so long before my apartments are going to want me to have a sticker on it then they will be towing away cars. Anyone know the laws in Kingman Arizona at all. What legal right's do I have to put the car in my sons name without him signing or if I got him to sign in his condition with brain damage, I could get into legal trouble the nurses at Hospice have said. Answer: Your stepfather needs to have a living will established, so his wishes can be met and you can legally obtain the posessions he wants you to have. Those aren't the laws of Kingman, AZ. That's the law of the land. Without a living will, the state will get everything. The people at the hospice that think they will go trolling and bone-picking will not have any luck either. If they are caught stealing anything of his, it's considered movable theft of property, which is usually a misdemeanor. Arizona Emissions Exemptions? Question: What are the current AZ Emission exemptions besides living out the metro area? From what ive read on the ADEQ website one place it says anything 1967 and newer has to be tested. Another place says any car 25 years or older from 2002 doesnt have to. I live in the metro area. I bought a 70 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 from Kingman(no emissions) havent been to the MVD yet because i had to fix the brakes first. Will i have to get it tested? Answer: All vehicles that are 1967 and newer have to be tested and all "antique and classic vehicles" fall in the 25 years or older.......which have special rules for usage. |

Police say officers Brad Gallup and Jake Grunwald have been placed on paid administrative leave after being stopped in their marked police car for speeding by a Mohave County sheriff's deputy. Am planning a trip from February 6, 2010 through February 16, 2010 to the southwest.? Question: Am wondering about weather conditions for the following trip. Will be flying into Mesa from Fargo, ND on February 6th and renting a car(what kind of vehicle would you suggest for the following trip, I'm from northern Minnesota and drive a front wheel drive vehicle there). Will be heading north to the Grand Canyon on the 7th, then west towards Kingman, AZ for the night. Next day to Las Vegas and northeast to Utah hoping to make it to Page, AZ the next night. Then over to the 4 Corners and south to Gallup, NM for the next night. West to the Petrified Forest and then south to Tuscan, AZ. Haven't reserved motels yet as the travel plans are flexible as of now. I am wondering about info on weather conditions (temps/ snow chances/ road hazards) for the trip up to the Grand Canyon from Mesa, west towards Kingman, then through southern Utah, northern, northeastern and eastern Arizona and northwestern New Mexico. You can get better hotel rate in Feb about $39 to $49, hwy 12, 160, 191 are scenic routes. |
