Gilbert arizona HOA laws?
Question:
Ok I live next to a neighbors who are very suspicious and I know it's a public street but is it illegal to have more than five cars in the driveway not only are they parked in front of every ones yards but they tasks it upon themselves to move the trash bins so they can have a place to park...can anything be fine about this?????

Answer:
You need to read the HOA laws for your community - there is no one set that applies to a city or the state. It might be against your HOA if they park them on the street over night, but you'll have to check with your own specific community's HOA. Sorry, it sounds like an annoying situation.

Arizona car dealerships?
Question:
I've heard before that there's no such thing as getting a "good deal" at a car dealership; be it large or small. They always figure out how to squeeze something else out of you in the end. (I heard that from someone who had worked at various dealers over many years.) The last dealership my wife bought from (I won't mention the name...but it's a HUGE dealership here in the valley) gave a great sales experience, but later were ridiculously rude during the times she needed service to her car. I don't need a great deal, I just don't want to get completely screwed. Does anyone know of a halfway trustworthy dealership in the valley? (preferably near Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, AZ).

Answer:
I use cardirect.com. Got their best price, then went to the dealer and asked if they could beat it. And then I went to another dealer and asked them to beat both other offers, and they did. I hate dealerships.

Help me on a dream in my book?
Question:
I'm writing a book about this girl who had to move to from California to Gilbert, Arizona with her grandparents because her parents died in a car crash and her brother went off to college in England. She meets her grandparents friends son. He is a handsome tall boy who has a dark secret behind all of what he shows. Right now I'm only at chapter three and I'm trying to make a two page dream. But I'm stuck. Right now she's having a dream that she is in Alaska and it's dark and she's running. The air is so cold that it affects her asthma so she has to stop but she is fearing of stopping because something is following her. I need help on what else could happen. Please no silly stuff, I'm really set on this book and just wanting to get it done. P.S. This boy is a werewolf, she doesn't know it yet and neither does he. (Message me if you have any question if I haven't summed it up good enough.) :)

Answer:
Well, what's following her and what's its intention? You should know why things are happening in your own story; you shouldn't include random things when you don't have anything to follow up with.

What do you think of the first two chapters?
Question:
CHAPTER ONE I stared ahead as the cab inched further into the darkness of a tunnel. I hated moving, I've always had.. We lived in Phoenix, Arizona all my life which was about fifteen and a half years.. Man how I'm going to miss the city! Me and my dad were moving out to Gilbert, Arizona.. Hey at least I'm still in Arizona right? Well I knew it wasn't going to be the same.. And I would sure as hell miss my friends back in Phoenix.. See my mom and dad got in a divorce about four years ago, I remember it like someone would remember their birthday or a death of a close friend. My mom and dad were two total opposites, and well my mom she was well.. a drunk.. and my dad was the kind of guy that worked his butt off to make ends meat. My mom was not too tall and not too short as my dad says.. And she had long black hair as dark as the nights sky.. I don't think of her or talk about her much.. I just tried to erase that part of my life.. As for my dad.. he says he'll always be there for her and he'll always forgive her no matter what.. I always tell him he has a heart of gold, and he always says that a person should forgive no matter how bad another has done.. If you haven't already guessed by now my dad is a police officer. And the reason I'm here in this rotten cab alone is because my dad had to go in early this morning and told me he would see me after he got off.. I was usually raising myself at home. But now it felt different like I'd just entered a third dimension.. I felt unwelcome and I just had an uneasy feeling about moving into a new house without dad there. I was getting sleepy now and without realizing, I drifted off to sleep.. CHAPTER TWO "Hey kid, isn't this your stop?" I woke up suddenly and I was still drowsy.. "Uh, yeah thanks." I payed the cab driver and stumbled out of the cab.. The cab driver went to the back of the car and unloaded my luggage. I picked my things up and walked down the path, up the steps, and opened the front door of my new home! W-o-w, I worded.. It was just like any other new home, it even had that musky smell. The place was empty.. "The movers must have not got our stuff here yet".. I grumbled as I walked up the stairs to my new room. I opened the door and just like the rest of the house it was empty, and smelled of year old oatmeal.. I was usually in a very pleasant mood, but I was very grumpy seeing that I had nowhere to sit, or lay down and my cell-phone was dead.. So I decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood.. "Yeah", I thought "this should be fun!" I stepped outside and walked down the path which I had just stepped a few moments ago. I saw a playground on my left in the distance and a school to my right in the distance.. Well seeing that I get to be out of school today I guess I should go check out the park.

Answer:
Yep, it's got definite potential. It needs some editing (grammar - punctuation, spelling, etc.) and some parts of it dragged a little. It is so close... just not quite there. If you want, I could edit it for you. You can email me. Just thought I'd offer... Edit: After re-reading it, a couple more things catch my attention. In the second paragraph, the person is contradicting themselves. The "w-o-w" at the start, and the musky smell, doesn't fit in with the rest of the paragraph. And the grumpiness seems to come from nowhere. Also, the last sentence suddenly switches to present tense, and gives the impression that you were looking for any way to end the chapter. I'm sorry to pour cold water over this... I have a tendency to do that. I didn't mean to get so carried away with my criticisms, this really is good writing, and has extreme potential. I know I could fix the slight problems - and they are minor ones - but as I said earlier, it's completely up to you.

Answer:

why cant I get a job?
Question:
ok I am 16 years old and live in gilbert arizona but go to school in mesa. for some reason I cant get a job anywhere. I'm suspecting its because of my availibiliity. since I am attending a school thats on a 4 day school week schedule I am not availible to work until after 5:30 (I get home around 5). But I'm availible all day friday and saturday. so why is it that I cant get a job anywhere. I have a car availible to me and I have my drivers license so I'd have reliable transportation to get to work. so why it that I cant get a job. I've applied at about 30 places and its been about three months and I havent been hired at any of them. I've applied at walmart several times and at different locations.

Answer:
You are correct. Try McDonald's or your local diner. Because of your limited schedule they may allow you to help clean tables. Also consider working at your local library. With your limited schedule they may have a place for you. Cheers and good luck!

Is it illegal to honk your horn for no reason?
Question:
Alright, so there have been 2 cases in my neighborhood of some idiots honking their horn for no reason. To be more specific, they would hold down the horn if any kid passed by, or press it repeatedly. One was a van, the other a small car. I'm pretty sure they're the same people anyway. But that's not important. What I want to know is: is it illegal to honk a car horn for no reason? What I'm most concerned about is the poor kids that get off the bus and have a car drive up to them and honk their horn like a maniac. What the hell?! Why would you do that? Really, what is the point? Sorry, those are pointless question; I'm just kind of mad right now. I have always thought it was illegal, but there are doubts. That's why I would like for someone to tell me for sure whether the act is or not. I live in the Gilbert district of Arizona, if that helps answer the question. Thanks so much (for reading, answering, just thank you!)! I do apologize if I ranted; when I get pissed, the tangent goes on endlessly until I am satisfied haha! :D -Kori Jesse- Thank you; I have already gotten the plate numbers (I'm a quite paranoid girl haha) and feel the need to at least report it to some official. Thanks again! :) ---Finally asked my mom (who is a paralegal); she agreed that it is illegal, at least in Arizona, but the charges/consequences aren't in the least buit immense. She said I should ignore it so I will aha. But I swear if I walk outside and they're still doing it, I'm going to make a big effort to try and talk some sense into them! I'm 16 and I know better. So I figured a bunch of obnoxious drivers that go to my highschool should know better too. MAADDAWG- Sorry, but it seems you misinterpreted my question. These teenagers are litterally honking it for no reason. Are you sure that holding down the horn for (and I'm serious, no joke) 2-3 minutes and driving in circles around the neighborhood, still holding down that car freakin' horn, has any REAL reason? That they honk the horn as if it's music, pressing it repeatedly 25+? Sure, maybe the reason is they're bored and got nothing better to do. But please, it's obvious that there is no real purpose to this, and therefore, no reason to do it.

Answer:
Yea it is causing a disturbance. Get there plate numbers and go to your local police station to report them.

to who do I report a DUI that was dismissed when there was evidence?
Question:
My ex husband got stop when drinking and driving. He had a cooler with beer and open beer also...could not pass soberty tests, did not agree to bretalizer, alcool level on blod was 0.234. His case was send to a small court far away and case dismissed. He drives around wiht my baby and just because he has money he gets away with that. How can I report that? It may save my sons life and his own life if he gets a bretalizer on his car. Mesa and Gilbert police will not arrest him when I tell them he is drunk driving with my son in the car...what can I do...is there justice on Arizona or there is nothing I can do?

Answer:
They decided not to prosecute, so it's officially a closed issue. I would go to child protective services and explain the situation to them. That's really your only recourse left, unfortunately.
