Arizona car dealerships?
Question:
I've heard before that there's no such thing as getting a "good deal" at a car dealership; be it large or small. They always figure out how to squeeze something else out of you in the end. (I heard that from someone who had worked at various dealers over many years.) The last dealership my wife bought from (I won't mention the name...but it's a HUGE dealership here in the valley) gave a great sales experience, but later were ridiculously rude during the times she needed service to her car. I don't need a great deal, I just don't want to get completely screwed. Does anyone know of a halfway trustworthy dealership in the valley? (preferably near Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, AZ).

Answer:
I use cardirect.com. Got their best price, then went to the dealer and asked if they could beat it. And then I went to another dealer and asked them to beat both other offers, and they did. I hate dealerships.

What do you think of the first two chapters?
Question:
CHAPTER ONE I stared ahead as the cab inched further into the darkness of a tunnel. I hated moving, I've always had.. We lived in Phoenix, Arizona all my life which was about fifteen and a half years.. Man how I'm going to miss the city! Me and my dad were moving out to Gilbert, Arizona.. Hey at least I'm still in Arizona right? Well I knew it wasn't going to be the same.. And I would sure as hell miss my friends back in Phoenix.. See my mom and dad got in a divorce about four years ago, I remember it like someone would remember their birthday or a death of a close friend. My mom and dad were two total opposites, and well my mom she was well.. a drunk.. and my dad was the kind of guy that worked his butt off to make ends meat. My mom was not too tall and not too short as my dad says.. And she had long black hair as dark as the nights sky.. I don't think of her or talk about her much.. I just tried to erase that part of my life.. As for my dad.. he says he'll always be there for her and he'll always forgive her no matter what.. I always tell him he has a heart of gold, and he always says that a person should forgive no matter how bad another has done.. If you haven't already guessed by now my dad is a police officer. And the reason I'm here in this rotten cab alone is because my dad had to go in early this morning and told me he would see me after he got off.. I was usually raising myself at home. But now it felt different like I'd just entered a third dimension.. I felt unwelcome and I just had an uneasy feeling about moving into a new house without dad there. I was getting sleepy now and without realizing, I drifted off to sleep.. CHAPTER TWO "Hey kid, isn't this your stop?" I woke up suddenly and I was still drowsy.. "Uh, yeah thanks." I payed the cab driver and stumbled out of the cab.. The cab driver went to the back of the car and unloaded my luggage. I picked my things up and walked down the path, up the steps, and opened the front door of my new home! W-o-w, I worded.. It was just like any other new home, it even had that musky smell. The place was empty.. "The movers must have not got our stuff here yet".. I grumbled as I walked up the stairs to my new room. I opened the door and just like the rest of the house it was empty, and smelled of year old oatmeal.. I was usually in a very pleasant mood, but I was very grumpy seeing that I had nowhere to sit, or lay down and my cell-phone was dead.. So I decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood.. "Yeah", I thought "this should be fun!" I stepped outside and walked down the path which I had just stepped a few moments ago. I saw a playground on my left in the distance and a school to my right in the distance.. Well seeing that I get to be out of school today I guess I should go check out the park.

Answer:
Yep, it's got definite potential. It needs some editing (grammar - punctuation, spelling, etc.) and some parts of it dragged a little. It is so close... just not quite there. If you want, I could edit it for you. You can email me. Just thought I'd offer... Edit: After re-reading it, a couple more things catch my attention. In the second paragraph, the person is contradicting themselves. The "w-o-w" at the start, and the musky smell, doesn't fit in with the rest of the paragraph. And the grumpiness seems to come from nowhere. Also, the last sentence suddenly switches to present tense, and gives the impression that you were looking for any way to end the chapter. I'm sorry to pour cold water over this... I have a tendency to do that. I didn't mean to get so carried away with my criticisms, this really is good writing, and has extreme potential. I know I could fix the slight problems - and they are minor ones - but as I said earlier, it's completely up to you.

why cant I get a job?
Question:
ok I am 16 years old and live in gilbert arizona but go to school in mesa. for some reason I cant get a job anywhere. I'm suspecting its because of my availibiliity. since I am attending a school thats on a 4 day school week schedule I am not availible to work until after 5:30 (I get home around 5). But I'm availible all day friday and saturday. so why is it that I cant get a job anywhere. I have a car availible to me and I have my drivers license so I'd have reliable transportation to get to work. so why it that I cant get a job. I've applied at about 30 places and its been about three months and I havent been hired at any of them. I've applied at walmart several times and at different locations.

Answer:
You are correct. Try McDonald's or your local diner. Because of your limited schedule they may allow you to help clean tables. Also consider working at your local library. With your limited schedule they may have a place for you. Cheers and good luck!

Has anyone received a DUI in Arizona recently?
Question:
I got picked up the other night in Gilbert, AZ. They did a blood draw, and I don't know what my BAC was. I've never had a DUI, and wondered what the penalties are for regular DUI and Extreme DUI. I know the penalty is 10 days for regular, and 30 days for extreme. But I've heard that a judge can suspend some of the sentence. What about the interlock device? Does everyone have to install one? What if I have more than one car registered? Any additional advice would be appreciated.

Does it concern you these kind of illegals are sneaking into America was deported twice?
Question:
Police have arrested a man they believe has been stalking and raping young girls in Chandler for nearly two years. On Saturday officials identified Santana Batiz-Aceves, 39, as the person they believe to be the Chandler Rapist, connecting him to the string of crimes with DNA evidence. Police originally arrested him Friday morning on suspicion of identity theft. Evidence led them to believe he could be a Chandler Rapist suspect. They also said that Aceves, a Mexican national, is in the country illegally and he had been deported twice in California related to drug charges. “We are convinced that this suspect is responsible for the multiple assaults that have been committed in our community,” Chandler Police Chief Sherry Kiyler said during an afternoon press conference. That confidence comes from a flurry of DNA examining done by the Arizona Department of Public safety. Employees working from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning in DPS's crime lab were able to match Santana Batiz-Aceves' DNA to that found at the scene of three of the Chandler attacks. “The remarkable work of men and women you often don't see, those are the folks that work behind the scenes and offer support functions like the crime lab,” said Deputy Director David Felix of DPS. Also laboring through the night were Chandler police detectives attempting to sort out the identities of the suspect while waiting to hear the DNA results, said Sgt. Rick Griner of the Chandler Police Department. Officers in Tempe, Gilbert and Phoenix also chipped. As did the FBI. Kilyler said Aceves is facing 25 felony counts, including kidnapping, child molestation, burglary and sexual abuse with a minor. News of the arrest made it's way through the community. Those who live in the neighborhoods where the rapist struck say the precautionary habits they've developed to protect themselves and their families against him will be hard to break. Tim Medlock lives a few houses down from a 13-year-old girl who was raped last March. After the rapist hit his neighborhood near McQueen and Ray roads, Medlock refused to leave his 12-year-old daughter home alone, even for quick runs to the Safeway across the street. He started driving his daughter to the bus stop every school day and called police anytime he saw a suspicious car parked in the neighborhood. “I'm sensitive to anything now,” Medlock said. “I'll have a better comfort zone if they (police) caught him, but there's a bunch of other sick people out there. I'll still worry.” Authorities said Aceves worked as a heavy equipment operator and lived in the area of the sexual assaults for the last 18 months. http://www.azcentral.com/community/gilbert/articles/0112 rapist-ON.html

Answer:
he isnt the first one. wasnt the one who killed the police officer on his 12th tour of america? But hey, they are just here for a better life. Nothing like an entire 3rd world country w/ no laws moving in and taking over. But i guess its worth it for big business to save a few bucks and tax the hell out of them via interest.

Answer:
Oh my goodness! You have a lot of problems. You need to hone up on your spelling skills. "make ends meat" ? And grammar. "Me and my dad" ? Punctuation needs to be worked on. You are missing a lot of commas. You also need to make sense. First you say you hated moving, always had. This sounds like you have constantly moved. Then you say you lived in Phoenix all your life. Which is it? Lastly, your story goes nowhere. Nothing in the first few sentences is compelling enough to make me want to keep reading. I read through the entire thing just to see if anything interesting was going to happen, but it never did. It needs a lot of editing. Keep trying. You will get better.
