I am new to the Tucson area and do not have a car on the road yet. I have an appt that can not be missed in Apache Junction and need to get there early in the morning. Does anyone know of names for a reasonable cab service or bus line that could get me there?

Answer:
Sadly, the most reliable and comfortable way to get between the two cities will be a Greyhound bus along with a taxi cab. The shuttle services between Phoenix and Tucson are spotty and usually consist of cramming as many people into a van as possible. They are not known for their punctuality either. If you can wing it, I would strongly suggest finding someone you trust who would let you carpool with them. So many people make that trip at least once a week that there is bound to be someone near you that does it as well.

I got a ticket for driving on a suspended license in Quartzite in april of 2004, paid the fine in october 2005 when I moved from Calif. to Arizona; in may 2008 my vehicle was impounded by mesa police "for a ticket in Quartzite", paid it AGAIN then just last friday, may 24th 2010 my car was AGAIN impounded "for a ticket in Quartzite". This time I saved receipts and went to police dept in Apache Junction to request a release for my car from impound yard, I asked officer why this Quartzite ticket keeps popping up, he said they get their information from MVD, so I went immediately to MVD who informed me that they did not show any tickets in Quartzite and that even though I have paid all traffic fines AND had license reinstated by MVD, that they are suspending my license for 6 months because I had two counts of driving on suspended license in same year (2008) even though I paid them in full (paid on 02/01/20110). Now my car will have to sit in impound for 30 days and the cost of storage fees will be more than I'm able to pay. WHY can they do this? Can I get a lawyer to help me get my car out of impound?

Driving, and having a license, is a privelige, not a right. You have no "right" to a license. Sorry, that's just how it is. The problem is, you were caught driving illegally, without a valid license, TWICE. Yes, that results in automatic license suspension. If you keep driving without a license, you'll likely get it revoked. If you can't afford your storage fees, you probably can't afford that lawyer, but there's probably no reason why you can't get that car out of impound. Just bring someone else to drive it.

i live in apache junction arizona---- i live with my mom and grandma and i have just been in a shouting match with my grandma....let me take it from the beginning.....i am 16 years old, i am a 10nth grade. i am a very well behaved kid. i have never been written up at school...ever...i am a very quiet individual and have good values and morals. i show respect and i am the easiest person to make friends with. but thats beside the point. anyway,for the past 5 years i have lived with my grandma, she has always put the problems of her life onto me.....she favors my sister and i am always on the short end of the stick. just recently my grandma has become sick....she went to 6 doctors and she has been ndiagnose with some kind of neurological type disorder....(she thinks that she has bugs in her body) and all she does is deny the outcome of all the tests(fecal,blood,urine ,ultrasound--all negative for anything harmful)--she goes all around the house claiming that she can see "tiny litttle specs" that are supposedly everywhere,constantly itching herself...wearing face masks around the house because she is "breathing this crap in"........all she ever does is look for these "bugs" (which upon examination by me turn out to be either grains of salt or crums left from some food eaten earlier.) ...she has always been a compulsive person....cleaning wise....she thinks that her house has to look like a model home and its a beautiful home...she is very ungreatful when it comes to that, sometimes she complains that she "has never heard of anyone living like how i am living here" and she doesnt realize how others really have it...back to the whole bug thing. evfery time i would respond to her cries about seeing these "infestations" with an answer that she didnt wanna hear, i am immediatly exiled and my input no longer matters if its something that she doesn't wanna hear. as i said before everything that goes wrong is autimatically my fault, or somehow i caused it in some way....she has accused me of being under the influence of drugs more than once, even though i voluntarily took a (multiple) urine drug test and pointed out that it was negative...(in one instance she even said that she doesnt care what the test says she "knows" that i am on drugs -which is completely false)and she thinks i am the worst behaved kid in the city. My mother is my side because she can see the damage she is causing....i am constantly getting headaches, always depressed, and my grades are starting to reflect this. about 2 weeks ago, my mothers transmission on her car gave out. my mom had her hours cut to part-time, so she only makes half of what she used to...thats about 500 every 2 weeks....she pays between 400 and 450 every two weeks...meaning that she pays an 800 dollar rent ....(which in my mind is rediculos 1st because its her own mom, and second it only leaves her 100 dollars or less for two whole weeks) so there is no room for her to fix her car with her income...and my grandma knows it....my grandma gets 1800 $ from the state and that + my moms income is more than enough to fufill all of the debt....plus my mom gave her 2500$ out of her tax return money....and my grandma refuses to help my mom with her car...and she also has a problem with driving her to work....and now, after all this my grandma is threatening to kick us out.......so back to me....i am usually quiet about all this, but tonight, i snapped. i told her that she is psychotic(not directly)...well i forgot about this part, that over this weekend, i decided to take a bike ride to my girlfriends house and thats what i did...but it ended up raining and my mom asked to use my grandmas new car....she let her but i ended up leaving my bike at her house (by the way its about a 20 min bike ride...maybe 3 or 4 miles)so today she was on my mother asking her what my punishment would be..making sure that it would be up to her standards or something....and so tonite when we were arguing, she called my girlfriends parents drug addicts andi flipped....i stormed upstairs nocking things over as i went....and she said that she is gonna call the police, and i told her that if she did that i would" burn her precious house down to the ground"----now i know that was long but am i wrong to claim that she is a mentally abusive person?

It sounds like my aunt. She has generalized dementia and acts like a total *ss most of the time. There are brief flashes of her former self, but that's extremely rare. I've chosen to believe that my aunt died several years ago...and deal with her as any other difficult old person. It's way easier to deal with her increasingly b*tchy self. Your mother should have a candid talk with your gran's doc.

Tell your parents or somebody. I know, my house is like that too. Or is there something you have been fearing other than the ghosts? Maybe a bully at school or something? i need an apartment and i have crappy credit?

so Im a student, and i work part time at a movie theatre. My boyfriend and i really need to move out and im not really picky about the apartment, but it has to be close to work. The problem is that i have crappy credit (most unpaid car insurance, cell phone, and credit card) and my boyfriend has "no credit" whatever that means. I know we wouldnt pass a credit check. and a co-signer is not an option because my parents credit sucks. Im only 19 and i have never had an apartment, and combined we dont make a ton of money, just enough to get by. SO without giving me crappy answers (that dont help) what should i do? i live in east mesa (az) almost to apache junction and i have a small dog. are there like social service groups that can help me get an apartment?

Answer:
Social services won't help since you aren't homeless and they normally don't help pets. You need to clean up your credit and wait or wait for your boyfriend to get good credit. You might find a private landlord who won't check credit but it is getting more rare. You will need to make about 4 times the rent in income so if you don't make enough to pay your bills now adding rent and utilities won't make things better. Leaving your dog with your parents may be necessary to find a place to live and save you money on vet bills and dog food.
