Where or who can install a turbo for me in or around Prattville Alabama?
Question:
Hello. I'm new to Alabama and don't really know who has the knowledge of turbo installation. I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra SER Spec V with the QR25 motor. The car had a turbo in it for a few weeks a few months ago, but that kit I got for a "bargain" and it gave me all sorts of problems. Plus, it took me a few weeks to do it myself, so I was hoping to find someone who could do it for me this time around. I know a pro can do it in a few hours, and thats exactly what I need. I got a good kit this time, and I want to make sure it's done right. Wheteher that be someone whos done a few themself, or a good mechanic or company who can do it for me. I'd appreciate any advise!

Answer:
Hi Josh, I do not know who in your area. I would check online or the yellow pages for a performance shop that does this specific work. I would also get a written estimate. The estimate should be itemized, so you understand what exactly is going to be done and how much it will cost. Also since you have the kit, this should be a labor only job. If there are additional parts needed it should be specified in the estimate. Ask the place where you purchased the kit from for a reference. Finally have a shop perform the work that you are comfortable with. I hope this is helpful information. Good luck, Bill

2000 grand am GT blown head gasket?
Question:
Well heres some background.... I just moved to alabama from prattville a few weeks ago... So I thought th he heat was making my car overheat. about a week ago my car started overheating to the point where the red light would come on and the car would stop... I took it into the shop and they told me the radiater and water pump needed to be replaced. I got the water pump done but they said the radiater leak was very slow so I could wait on that if neede. Currently, I have to refill the coolant tank about every ten miles because it goes into red. All the water is being pushed out of the tank almost immediately... When the cap is off the water bubbles and goes out the coolant tube. I had a friend look at it and he said its a blown head gasket... Is this correct?

Answer:
if your head gasket is blown you see either water running down the engine block or your motor oil will look like milk chocolate. The most obvious symptom of a blown head gasket is the HUGE amounts of steam blowing from your exhaust. Regardless of what leaking it needs to be repaired...any mechanic that told you it's a slow leak and it's OK should be cock punched. These cars are prone to head gasket failure due to the seals and gasket material used in that year not reacting well to dexcool antifreeze
