Arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia in Hoover, Alabama, what are my options?

Location: Hoover, AL Hi, i was arrested yesterday along with my brother. I am 21 and my brother is 23. This is the whole story, while my brother was driving he hit the median a little during at night on a left turn to Krispy Kremes Donuts and the reason that happened is because i was talking to my brother so he was not paying too much attention to the road. Then the cop pulled us over, we parked then the officer came on to the passenger side and not the drivers side, so i was talking to her then she asked for the drivers Driver's license, insurance, and registration. She kept on talking to me for some reason. I opened the front glove compartment to look for the registration and closed it right away because there was a grinder in there, which i was not aware of.(The grinder(i believe it had around .5g in it) did not belong to either of us, it belonged to a friend and also i told the cop there was a pipe because 2 days before getting arrested(did not tell the cop i smoked 2 days ago at the time), we ended up going to a friends party and a few of my friends rode my car to get some food afterwards(we were smoking at the party with some friends and the person who had the grinder also had the pipe) and obviously left it in my car which i did not know until i opened the front glove compartment when the cop asked about the registration. Afterward i closed it right away, the cop said what is that, could you open it again, and then she said hand it over. Then i ended up giving it to her then i told her that there was a pipe. I told her that it belonged to a friend but not surprisingly she did not believe me. Since i told her that it belonged to a friend, she charged both of us with 2 of the same count, i think saying we are both owners. A little later on after hand cuffs were on me because i had the feeling that the pipe was going to be there so i told her there was a pipe there too(because the friend also had a pipe with his grinder), not knowing where it was but i was right and she found it. Also me and my brother were not told our Miranda Rights. We do not smoke marijuana too much so by court date, we may be able to get marijuana out of our system.This is my first arrest but for my brother, this is his second arrest for the same thing. Should i try to get both of our cases dismissed?(because we may be able to get the THC out of our system before the court date to prove that they d not belong to us)Is it even possible?If not, should i try to take ownership of the 2 counts and try to get my brothers case dismissed?(the cop told me that i can not take ownership when i was arrested but at court, it is a different story) Should i hire a drug defense lawyer or a court appointed attorney? Also the cop told my brother that this will be just another misdemeanor.

I suggest getting a court appointed attorney. The police do not need to read you your miranda rights at the time of arrest. They only need to read you your rights before questioning you. Ownership of the paraphernalia doesn't matter you were in possession of it, end of story. Trying to rid your body of THC will do nothing for your case. Your options are either stop smoking or move to a state that honors medical marijuana and get a medical card. Also, trying to get federal student loans will now be next to impossible for you and your brother.

Is the Auburn vs. Alabama rivalry that intense?

I am a huge Auburn fan but im from New Hampshie so I dont know that much about the rivalry in the state. My friends family moved to Hoover so that he could play football. Is all of Alabama like this? Are most people from Hoover AL, Alabama fans? And is the rivalry that intense?

Auburn fans are typically better educated and have more class. Meanwhile, most Alabama fans are a bunch of stump-neck, gap-tooth, knuckle-dragging, polyester-wearing, stoop-gait, biscuit-eating, book-burning, cousin-kissing, backwoods lackwits.
