I am looking for the owner of a 1972 blue demon...?
Question:
He used to live in and around the dothan-enterprise alabama area. Blonde hair, blue eyes, very serious. The car had a picture of a demon in the back seat window.. Anyone know who I am talking about? I can not remember for the life of me what his name was.. he was in his early to late 20's. The car had airplane harnesses for seatbelts. This is very important. He had a one night stand with a friend of mine 7 years ago and she got pregnant. She never told him. I am trying to find him so they can get this resolved.

Is a car dealership required to tell you your beacon score?
Question:
I tried to get a loan for a motorcycle at Home Town Motors in Enterprise Alabama, I knew my beacon score. They kept giving me a run around and ran my credit and told me they could not give me my score! When I backed the little dork in a corner by asking him is he saying it's against the law to give it to me, he said "No, I'm just not giving it to you" I said, "So, let me get this straight, you can run my credit, tell me my beacon score is low, but not tell me who you ran it through, and what the score is? He told me the credit bureau and that was all he was giving me. Is this right? If it is right, that means they can screw anyone who is not educated in credit bureaus! It's criminal. I hope they get closed down soon...

Answer:
Let's start with the basics. You wanted to buy a motorcycle. You filled out a credit application. The dealership checked your credit history. Now to the real issue. Your credit rating was such that they knew that they were not going to be able to get you financed through their sources. They have no obligation to give you your score, or a copy of the report. You decided that you were going to demand that the tell you. From the tone of your question here " I backed the little dork in a corner" I would bet that you were rude and demanding. The dealership knew that there was no way that they could sell you a motorcycle, and truthfully, with the attitude that you exhibit here, I would bet that they did not want you as a customer. When you have cash or the ability to get cash (such as a credit score that will qualify you for a loan) you are a customer. When you have neither, you are just wasting the dealer's time.

Can I use a walmart prepaid card to rent a car?
Question:
I'm 22. I don't use credit cards I just think it's better for me financially anyway not to. I want to rent a car because I'm driving from Maryland to Alabama and my car has some mechanical issues. I have a walmart prepaid visa card with plenty of funds on the card to cover the costs of rental for 2 days. It has a visa logo and I use it for a lot of things since it's easier than carrying cash around. Can I use it to rent a car? I understand there will be additional fees and that is fine. I heard I can at enterprise.

Answer:
First of all, most companies impose Underage Renter Fees on renters between the ages of 21-24, and for my company that is $25 a day, plus the rental. Now to answer your question, it depends on the rental car company, and for most of them, absolutely not. A prepaid card to rental companies is just like using cash to rent a vehicle, no matter how much funds you have on the card. It is not a secured method to use as a deposit. In order to rent, most companies require a valid credit card at the time of rental. For these companies, your credit history basically serves as the deposit for the rental when using a credit card. Other companies that may take prepaid cars usually require a ridiculously large deposit upfront on top of the cost of the rental, which is only refunded after you have satisfied the rental requirements (i.e., no damages to the vehicle, gas tank full, returned on time, etc.) I can't tell you how many times that my company allowed people to use debit and prepaid cards, and were burned in the process. People would rent and wound up with no funds on the card after the rental, and often times, we would end up with no car. Now that my company put a stop to that and requires credit cards only, we get ours regardless. Keep in mind: you are trying to get a $20,000+ investment from someone to do as your are pleased. The rental company is going to take every precaution to make sure they get their investment back, and in one piece.
