Is the Auburn vs. Alabama rivalry that intense?
Question:
I am a huge Auburn fan but im from New Hampshie so I dont know that much about the rivalry in the state. My friends family moved to Hoover so that he could play football. They just moved there like 2 weeks ago and he called me and told me that someone bashed his car and slit his tires and I asked him why and it was his neighbor because he said that hes an Auburn fan. Is all of Alabama like this? Are most people from Hoover AL, Alabama fans? And is the rivalry that intense?

Answer:
Extraordinarily intense. It's the forces of goodness and light against the forces of evil and darkness. However, very few tire slashings. Just remember this. Auburn fans are typically better educated and have more class. Meanwhile, most Alabama fans are a bunch of stump-neck, gap-tooth, knuckle-dragging, polyester-wearing, stoop-gait, biscuit-eating, book-burning, cousin-kissing, backwoods lackwits. I'm glad I could clear up the distinction.

Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Game?
Question:
November 9th...Alabama's biggest game this year (besides the National Championship game they are going to) :D Me and about 4 of my friends are going this year, but the chances of us getting tickets next to each other is slim to none. I have noticed the past few games I have went to, that people are standing on the spiral car ramp and I was wondering if that would cost anything, or if it would be free. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D Thank you.

Answer:
In the past it has been free but since it's the Iron Bowl they might charge for standing there . AU rocks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

part time jobs in Montgomery/Auburn AL?
Question:
I am a 17 year old girl in a small town in Alabama. Recently, my mother lost her job and soon my family will be desperate for money. I need*--not want--a job. I have a car and I am a senior in high school--my parents will need me to help out with bills, gas expense, and my senior fees. Soon Ill be eighteen, if that makes a difference. How can I find and get a job in the Montgomery/Auburn--or anywhere in between--area?

Answer:
When it comes to finding ways to earn money, consider a Denver (Colorado, USA) woman that lost her upper management job. She started a simple business picking up dog droppings that led to earnings of over $75,000 a year, working outside, setting her own hours, and could be done using a bicycle as transportation. It is also something a child age 10 and up can do alone, an adult can do, or a whole family can do together. This article describes how. http://waits4u.com/WorkingInABadEconomy In this economy, you need to think outside box. Companies are refusing to take applications from the unemployed resulting in many giving up. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/job-listings-unemployed- not-apply-133143362.html http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/ar ticle/109471/meet-the-unemployable-man?mod=career-work http://ww w.usnews.com/articles/business/careers/2009/07/22/states-where-th e-unemployed-are-giving-up.html ♂♀

Question:
Okay, so my hubby is an Alabama fan, and I am an Auburn fan. We have been seeing a lot of cars with Auburn tags on them upside down. Recently he saw a Tennessee sticker on a truck with an Alabama tag, but the TN sticker was upside down. Is this the 'new' thing to do to your rivals or what?

Answer:
No it's not a new thing, Sooner fans have been putting the Longhorn Upside down for awhile now, at least I seen it a few times.

Going far away for college?
Question:
I got a great scholarship to Auburn University in Alabama...the only problem is that I live in Montana. I would love to go to Auburn and I think it would be good for me to get out of Montana, at least for a few years. My question is how does one deal with going so far away? Are travel expenses a lot? How should I get all my stuff down there? Should I take my car?

Answer:
I was living in Wisconsin when I decided to go to school in Massachusetts. I started out at a small college close to home but was convinced by someone that I could go to a better school, plus I really wanted my independence, and as a very young (17) female and first child, my parents just didn't understand. So I didn't have any homesickness issues being far from home. My very first roommate at college was from DC and couldn't handle being so far from family and boyfriend; she dropped out after a month and went back home. You can box up non-crucial stuff and ship it to your dorm address by UPS; it's probably cheaper than the baggage costs on the plane, especially once you get into the third or fourth bag charge. Check with Auburn to see whether they allow freshmen to have cars on campus, and what the costs are. A lot of colleges don't let freshmen have cars because they have enough to adjust to (getting used to college) without the distraction of a car. Plus there are almost always fees associated with having a car on campus. Due to finances, I was only able to go home between semesters. I was lucky enough to have friends who invited me to stay with them for Thanksgiving and spring break (at their parents' houses). You can go to a site like Travelocity, Expedia, or Orbitz to get an idea of what it would cost to fly from Montana to Alabama. Don't forget you'll have to factor in some way of getting from the airport to the university.
